Meet Jonesy, typical teenager who lives in the small town of Plymouth. Nothing really special about her, she hates Valentines Day, she writes fanzines as a hobby, loves her ferrets, has a father that works in the best donut shop in town and goes though the usual motions of growing up.Oh yeah and she has SECRET LOVE POWERS i.e: the ability to make anyone fall in love with something...save herself. As you can imagine she sometimes uses this ability for her own benefit, but as is the case, they sometimes have a method of backfiring on her, forcing her to face the music and solve her problems herself. But Jonesy has a good head on her shoulders and tries to make things right where she mess up.Created by Sam Humphries & Caitlin Rose Boyle and published by Boom! Studios. Ran for 12 issues from Feb 2016 to April 2017.

Breaking the Fourth Wall: Jonesy usually starts a lot of the issues talking to the reader before going into the story proper (though she does speak with the audience more in the first and last issue). Her father and Susan have likewise took turns as well.

Anticlimax: The first four issues features a subplot of the principal of Jonesy's school growing supicious of her and that a lot of odd occurances happens when she's around. She eventually does confirm her suspicions after seeing Jonesy use her power at the prom (albeit telling the attendants to have fun), but Jonesy quickly shuts her down by giving her a speech and stating that she doesn't have any proof to her claims otherwise. After that the subplot is dropped entirely.

Parental Abandonment: Subverted, Jonesy thinks her mom did this when she divorced her dad and left them. But her mother reveals it was a mutual breakup and that she truly loves her. Heck she went through the trouble of finding a apartment with a guest room in it so Jonesy could have a place to sleep when she visited her.

Must Make Amends: In the final issue, Jonesy heads back to Plymouth to own up to her actions in which she's given community service. Fair enough punishment but the commissioner tries to force her to sign a pledge not to use her power anymore. This conflicts Jonsey since she already learned her lesson but doesn't want to be restricted. In the midst of this, she tries to apologize to Farid for forcing him to punch Landon but he's less then receptive. It eventually reaches a climax where one of the townspeople actually requests Jonsey use her powers on him so he can talk to a crush of his. Leading Jonesy to realize she can use her powers for good by giving people courage (of their own volition of course). After telling off the commissioner who tries to force Jonesy to sign the pledge, Farid sees this and realizes she genuinely learned her lesson allowing the two to finally patch things up.

Love Spell: Essentially Jonesy commands people by telling them "You will fall in love with... (etc)". It doesn't have to be a person, she can have them go to eat objects or head for a location, etc. Though of course she has to be careful how she words things as the commands can sometimes come out wrong (telling classmates to love a student or having her dad go to get a tattoo). What's more she can't get the target to love her directly.

How We Got Here: A multi-part example. Issue 8 ends with Jonesy meeting Landon for the first time and him revealing his own love powers. Then we go to Issue 9 and Jonesy is suddenly in the neighboring city visiting her mother without an explanation with happened (though we are given a hint it wasn't good). After helping out the community there by getting the ferret rescue center to reopen, she heads back to Plymouth. Issue 11 finally reveals what happened via a zine Jonesy sent to her newfound friends explaining what transpired after she met Landon, and what caused her to leave Plymouth in the first place.

Secret-Keeper: Farid and Susan are pretty much the only ones Jonesy has told about her love powers until the next to last issue where Jonesy reveals her secret to the whole town to foil Landon's scheme. Technically the principal of her school finds out earlier but since Jonsey practically saves her prom with it and tells her she'll look like a loon if she reveals it, the principal never bothers to expose Jonesy. Likewise her grandmother was apparently in the know too.

My God, What Have I Done?: Happens very frequently when Jonesy uses her powers for self gain. For example, in the first issue, she (inadvertently) uses her powers to make the students if the school fall in love with a girl she doesn't like. To which they send the girl carnations embarrassing her in the process. Jonesy is overjoyed by it till she finds out that 1) The students didn't pay for the carnations, just swiped them off the table who was selling it and 2) the money was meant to go to a charity for ferrets.

What the Hell, Hero?: Jonesy gets it a few times through the series but the most major standout happens in the penultimate issue: Landon uses his love powers on Susan to Jonesy's anger that she uses her powers on her other friend, Farid, to punch Landon for her. She admits she got caught up in the moment and felt sick after doing the act. However, Farid eventually finds out what happened after Jonesy reveals her powers to the town and angrily calls her out for doing so. Culminating with Farid telling her to never talk to him again to the point he even blocks her on his Facebook-esqe page. They do eventually smooth things out in the last issue.
