Ninja High School is a manga-inspired comic book series created, written, and illustrated by Ben Dunn, and currently published by Antarctic Press. While it was originally intended as a parodic mini-series, the comic became so popular that it became a full series, currently totalling over 160 issues and many miniseries and special issues. The annual specials Ninja High School Yearbook and Ninja High School Swimsuit Edition are entirely composed of art and stories created and contributed by fans.The story centers on Jeremy Feeple, a student at Quagmire High, who soon encounters a beautiful female Ninja named Itchy Koo (real name Ichikun Ichinohei) and an Alien Princess named Asrial — who have both been ordered to marry him. The earlier stories focus on the girls' comedic attempts to marry this seemingly plain, ordinary high school boy. As the story progressed, backstories were given to the core characters, and an extensive supporting cast developed. While early stories focused mainly on slapstick, later story arcs have become more serious, delving into murder, drugs, and homosexuality.The series contains Lawyer Friendly Cameos and Captain Ersatzes of characters from other media, usually but not always Japanese; these included Kamen Rider, Power Rangers/Super Sentai, Harry Potter, Superman, The Powerpuff Girls, Terminator, Ninja Gaiden, Transformers, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, Urusei Yatsura the Gundam series and especially Ranma ½ (seriously looking at the early chapters, you'd be forgiven for thinking this whole series was an out and out parody of it).Ninja High School v2 was an attempted Spin-Off set after a Time Skip, revolving around Jeremy's thrill-seeking younger brother Ricky; it originally ran alongside the original series, but the new storyline was brought back into the main title though Ricky was now the main character.For those that wanna follow along it goes like this: Original series (Vol 1-9). Ran for 100 issues. 1987 to November, 2002 (Yes, fifteen years). The first bulk is mostly that of Jeremy's adventures with a few stories focused on side characters. Later on most of the stories focused on Ricky and his own entourage of girls (In this case Lendo's step-sister Yumei, Superhero Heidi, and a Salusian Princess with a purchased title, Solora). This is considered Vol 2 of the series. There is also the mini series "Quagmire USA". Hawaiian series (#101-129, December, 2002 - June, 2005): Focuses on supporting character, Yumei, as she goes to Hawaii under the request of a family member and has her own adventures. Shidoshi series (#130-175, August, 2005-August, 2009) : Continuation of vol 2, something of a reboot of the series to distinguish it from the original. The story now focuses entirely on Ricky and a new cast of characters as they come into conflict with a deadly rival ninja clan. Volume Three: An attempt at a revival series in June 2014 which saw a new alien race calling themselves the "Kuroni" have possessed the people of Quagmire and plan to enslave all of Earth. Anne Feeple and Prof Steamhead are the only two unaffected and are forced to jump to an alternate dimension to find means to defeat them. Thus setting this series in a new world. However the series slipped back into a hiatus after the 176 issue was released with only "Super Ninja High School", a one-off that had the characters dealing with expies of video game characters, release. After six years, the comic finally resumed.Battlefield Press has launched a roleplaying game for the series, both in a proprietary D6 and the Savage Worlds system.The series has been uploaded to Webtoon, including both the original run, Volume 2, Shidoshi, Quagmire USA and Volume 3 (Though no Hawaii series for some reason) as well as some of the crossovers with Gold Digger. Relationship Revolving Door: Where do we start? This series manages to outcomplicate Ranma ½! For the longest time, the Love Triangle between Jeremy, Ichikun and Asrial seems set to end with Jeremy/Ichikun. But instead he ends up with Asrial. Whilst Ichikun is seemingly intent on wedding Jeremy, Lendo actually largely gives up on her and tries to start a relationship with local Wholesome Crossdresser Sammi Kondo. Then Lendo and Ichikun get married during the 4-year timeskip between Volume 1 and Volume 2. But the relationship is initially very unhappy, to the point that when Lendo returns to Quagmire, he tries to rekindle something with Sammi. But that goes nowhere and instead, by the end of Volume 2, Lendo and Ichikun straighten out their relationship and truly fall in love with each other. And then there's Ricky, who gets two different harems between Volume 2 and Shidoshi! In Volume 2, he's in an established relationship with superhero Heidi, whilst both Yumei (half-sister to Lendo & Tetsuo) and Solora start crushing on him, although they never have the courage to express their feelings. In Shidoshi, fellow ninja trainee Sora starts aggressively flirting with Ricky, and whilst he tries to stay loyal to Heidi, she ultimately breaks up with him, whereupon Sora pounces. The two ultimately end up married and expecting their first child by the end of Shidoshi. Yumei, who was attracted to Ricky, ends up finding a new love in the Hawaii stories. But ends up legally married against her will to a robot double of Ricky. Suzume, an assassin who does express a slight attraction to Ricky, instead ends up with Dawn the shinigami. Heidi ends up marrying a fellow superhero during the eight year timeskip in Shidoshi. Tetsuo has his own complicated relationship. He initially tries to flirt with Suzume, who turns him down, then falls in love with his previously Ignored Enamored Underling, Nanashi. They spend years together, but then Tetsuo is forced to accept an Arranged Marriage to a Chinese Amazon named Sun Shang Xiang for fear that Nanashi will be killed if he refuses. | |

Bittersweet Ending: Hawaiian Arc: For the former, Tetsuo, being the brat he is, tricks Yumei into marrying a Ricky-bot rather then her true love despite doing all she can defeat him and it's legally binding so she can't get out of it unless he gives the say so. Though later in Shidoshi, after Tetsuo undergoes major Character Development, he gives her the remote to self-destruct the bot and annul the marriage. So bit of a slow burn for the happy ending (though we never see if Yumei actually does it). Shidoshi Arc: Yuudai dies without having his final battle with Ricky who informs him the original Red Ninja whom Yuudai original fought against is still alive. Though Ricky at the least gives him an honorable funeral. Ricky's group take on the Elder Stars and have to settle for just bankrupting them then defeating them in combat, though do get the victory of not allowing them to claim the Red Ninja title (long story short, a lot of family complications as Anna is still technically part of the ninja clan the Elder Stars come from and by right still holds the title. Since she's in another world, that title lands on Ricky and the Stars have to defeat him to reclaim it regardless if the Elder Stars don't consider them a true ninja clan). Tetsuo can't marry his true love, Nanashi, due to a arrange marriage he couldn't get out of. So he puts on a façade of going back to his overly ambitious ways to chase her off. However we see he still pines for her despite having everything he wants, but is content that she's safe, sets up a bank account for her to use in three months and ultimately erasing all traces of her so the Elder Stars can't go after her anymore. After some time passes and the protagonists have grown up, Ricky finds the original Red Ninja and engages in combat with him to both dismantle the Elder Stars and their corrupt ninja governing, as well as defeat him on Yuudai's behalf. The story ending just as they rush each other. | |

Salusians in their human transmogrified forms look like the rare "ears but no tail" strain of catgirl, with Asrial and Solora in particular rocking this look in volumes 1 and 2. In the issue "Deathperception", Aloysious the familiar gains a humanoid body and face with feline paws, ears, fur and tail after he Took a Level in Badass during his offscreen adventures with Lendo. Tygarr, a teen superhero introduced in the Volume 2 issue "VR Bloopers", is a once-normal boy named Steve Gloss, who was transformed into a humanoid tiger by a vengeful god for tormenting the tigers at a local zoo. His only hope to become human is by completing 1,000 good deeds. Which becomes problematic when he completes his 1000th deed and is restored to normal during the events of the Shidoshi continuity, right when his powers would come in handy. Puma Priss is a leopard-patterned Cat Girl and teen supervillain, effectively Tygarr's villainous counterpart on the team Chaos Factor. In the volume 2 issue "Textbooks and Broomsticks", Ricky is transformed into a humanoid tiger, similarly to Tygarr, and this form will make a few sporadic reappearances in later canon. Meppy from the Shidoshi stories is a member of a race of Amazon Catgirls who was stranded on Earth during World War II. She fought the Nazis and is now a Drill Sergeant Nasty gym/health teacher at Quahog High. | |

Who is, post-second-Timeskip, turning into a Badass Normal Niles himself. Looks like it runs in the family. Unfortunately, for Tetsuo, at least, it didn't take. Actually... We find out later this was a ploy to save his girlfriend, Nanashi from the Elder Stars. When he learned that his grandfather, head of the Elder Stars, would have Nanashi killed if Tetsuo did not comply with the arranged marriage to a Chinese Amazon princess his family had set up for him, he chose to go along with his family's wishes to save Nanashi's life. To atone for this betrayal, he sets up a multi-million dollar account for Nanashi, unbeknownst to her.. | |
