Some of the more interesting ones include: Earth's military not bothering with too many security precautions during the first contact with aliens who have expressed having strict humanitarian interests at heart. A war in space between humans and another alien species big enough to threaten the "destruction of all known space" is interrupted by a Cosmic Entity who holds a fight to the death between the military leaders of both species to determine which race is worthy enough to continue to survive. Humanity wins the fight to the death, and the Cosmic Entity then proceeds to destroy all humans, claiming that since humans have thus proven themselves to be the more aggressive and war-like race, the universe would be better off without them. | |

It's decided to blast him off into space, where Jeremy's ship goes through a time portal that appeared for no other reason than to have Jerry avoid a collision with another spacecraft. The end twist is that Jeremy was thrust back in time and became the center of Halley's comet, which has been causing disasters as it got ever closer to Earth. Unfortunately, the company that invested in the technology abuses said scientist and he betrays them to a group of mercenaries who are stroppy over their livelihoods being put at risk over the tech, so the mercs destroy the reality bubbles and renegotiate the terms of their contracts to go back to fighting conventional wars again. | |
