Naruto tells her that she will just damage her muscles if she overexerts herself. After being coldly rejected by her many times, Naruto gives up on Sakura, and advises Lee to do the same. Lee listens to what he has to say. Furthermore, Sakura overhears this conversation and is shocked by what she heard. She initially tries rationalizing it by thinking that Naruto was being unfair and that she didn't want to ruin her chances with getting with Sasuke before remembering how she ''rejected'' the frequent date requests (i.e. hitting him) and realizing how it has been negatively impacting her relationships with others. Sasuke taunts Naruto by calling Hinata weak in an attempt to throw him off before their match in the preliminary round. Instead of being shaken by the taunt, it only pisses Naruto off, who proceeds to knock Sasuke out within the first five seconds of the fight. This also alienates Sasuke from the others, such as Sakura, who thought that he went way too far. Naruto is trapped by Shikaku during the Sand/Sound invasion. What does he do to break out of the grasp? Use his Chakra pulse technique, with the energy causing the paw to explode since it was being contained. The Third Hokage may have survived the Invasion, but he has lost an arm in the process. He has no choice but to step down. Tsunade points out that regrowing his arm would potentially kill him, since it requires a lot of energy, something the Third doesn't have much of anymore. Hinata, a relative underdog, still loses to her more experienced cousin, Neji. The Determinator is also deconstructed and seen as suicidal if one refuses to give up a futile conflict. Unlike Naruto and Hinata, who could spend many hours training together without anyone caring, Shino isn't as lucky and Can't Catch Up, since he has clan duties and a family at home waiting for him. By supercharging it, Naruto creates the equivalent of a chakra EMP capable of covering the entire village and disrupting all kind of techniques beside genjutsu. In chapter 17, Naruto uses it to cancel the genjutsu that Kabuto puts on the stadium during the invasion to the village, but the pulse is so big it ends messing up other jutsu in the area, particularly those neccesary for Orochimaru's plans. | |
