She tried to out-do Rainbow Dash as "the Awesome Trixie", tried to out-do Rarity as "the Fabulous Trixie", and got entangled with Fluttershy in a "magic rabbit incident" that lead to them having to clean mud and carrot juice off Trixie, and according to Apple Bloom "We were cleanin' lettuce outta th' rain gutters fer days." In Chapter 40, Luna remarks that she hasn't heard from Chrysalis since "that little fracas at Neighagra Falls". And then subverted when Spike accidentally teleports a bunch of thrown pies from the resulting riot right into her face; everyone expects her to have another big one, but she just has Shining Armor put up a force field and locks herself in the kitchens. Double subverted when she is leaving molten gold hoof-steps as she leaves. Presumably she managed to avoid melting her back-up crown, but forgot to control her feet.

In another far less comical note, him not realizing that having a marefriend is different to just being polite to ladies ends up with him taking Rainbow Dash's "You need to pay more attention to Apple Bloom" talk completely the wrong way and leads him to break up with her in penance for not paying her enough attention. As you would expect, this backfires horribly. Twilight also completely overlooks Rarity's attempts at matchmaking.
