They were used successfully during the First Multiversal War against the alternate Flim-Flam Brothers' invading aerial armada, draining magic from its targets after impact (And even before that, going through the magical shields like they weren't there) and shutting down the magitech systems on-board. The Silent Brotherhood from the Hegemony are also called the 'Null-Knights', as their very presence could nullify all magic by virtue of being 'Blanks'. They are based on the Sisters of Silence from the 40K setting. Even the Empress' own power is not immune to their effects, though luckily they serve her and are charged with guarding critical facilities and locations. | |

The Purge: A rare heroic version occurs after the events of the "Bearers of Two Worlds" Arc. Fearing future situations where villains local to their world-lines acquire weapons and allies from other worlds to magnify their threat like the Storm King and Chrysalis did, the Multiverse Alliance enacted on an initiative to subdue or eliminate as many known local villains and threats as possible to secure their home-fronts, especially in preparation of facing future threats from across the multiverse, in what history later remembers as 'Operation: Pest Control'. While only a few such operations are depicted, like in Ninja Equestria and in the "Shadow Ops" arc, it is mentioned that the operation is enormous in scale, occurring simultaneously on hundreds of worlds and involves the combined military, agents, champions and heroes both local and drawn from across the Alliance. The potential threat of a purge of changeling commanders that an alternate Chrysalis considered too popular and powerful is partly what drove General Thorax of that world-line to defect fully and plot with the Equestrians to usurp her (besides her questionable leadership of the Swarm and his newly-discovered friendship with the Equestrians). | |

The Discord Continuum is a multiversal alliance of Discords, Accords, and other related entities united...to annoy Twilight Sparkles and starship captains on a multiversal scale. An obvious Shout-Out to the Q Continuum. A Villain Team-Up of Accords is mentioned as having fought and been defeated by the Discord Continuum offscreen. The Storm Empire is an alliance of Storm Kings from across the multiverse formed out of strength in numbers. They aren't an enemy of the Alliance because they have no interest in making enemies of other big fish in the multiverse, and simply want to focus on keeping their empire running. In addition, not all of them are evil. The Legion of Santas is a multiversal alliance of Santas united to protect the holiday and spread good cheer on a multiversal scale. | |

Spawns several more sequels/side-stories one-shots and arcs: "Gods and Guardians", set in an alternate 'Gods' War' timeline where preparations made by the ruler of a previously-lost civilization changed the course of events before and during the original story. "Gods' War: Reflected" retells the story with the Daring Do and the Wonderbolts Jaunting team in the Mirror Equestria of IDW's 'Reflections' arc, where heroic kaijus are the villains and vice versa. "Lightning the Darkness" - The jaunting Mane Six found themselves in a world where downtrodden Earth-Ponies are oppressed by the Demon Lord Yomi, who had taken over and turned the planet into a dystopic Villain World with its demon minions and empowered evil mortal warlocks and witches. In practice, problems with transportation (Due to recharge and membrane rebound period) and resources/people being spread thin meant they are usually prevented from bringing it to bear, at least until a climatic moment. Some of the Alliance's more powerful members possesses ENORMOUS reserves of resources and population by virtue of their sheer scale. The aforementioned Hegemony, for example, is a galaxy-spanning empire from an alternate far future that is constantly expanding and at war with various hostiles and horrors of their universe, which leaves them with massive military forces which they could use to help garrison and fortify an entire continent and still allow for deployments elsewhere across the planet. Disturbingly, they are not afraid to spend them like currency to achieve an objective, owing to their hardline and ruthless temperament. Other members like the Intergalactic Federation of Friendship (from the 'Bright Future' Equestria world-line) is capable of this, but refrained by choice to avoid making the Alliance too dependent on them. Other than the obvious, other things are very slightly different such as ponies having different names than their counterparts and Sirens being the native version of Alicorns. The Princess Twilight, Ruler of Equestria Arc takes place in an universe where Tirek had killed the three princesses instead of sending them to Tartarus. Twilight was able to defeat him in their battle and ended up having to rule Equestria herself. The Mane Six's arrival in the Amalgamverse ends up causing the Zettonians to launch an attack upon detecting the portal caster, which wouldn't have happened otherwise. The Gods and Guardians Arc is set in an alternate timeline to the Gods' War Arc. The nail that diverged the timeline was Shining Armor managing to transfer his soul into a Kaiju body to hold off King Ghidorah, saving the Princesses and helping Gojira win. In Mainline Equestria, it soon becomes apparent that the advent of dimensional travel is a big nail. The plot of the movie is completely derailed: Equestria discovers the Storm King's rampage far earlier than in canon due to better communications and prepare to intercept him long before he can reach Equestria...but the Storm King was also busy salvaging and reverse engineering technology from the Flim Flam Brothers' invasion, drastically increasing his army's threat level as well as giving him his namesake power earlier than in canon. The Storm King is now rivaling Tirek when he fought Twilight in terms of sheer power. The first meeting with Tempest gets derailed by Rainbow Dash knowing the Rolling Attack she didn't in canon despite the former's attempt to invoke In Spite of a Nail. When Tempest attempts to petrify the Princesses, Rainbow uses it get the drop on her and cause her to waste the Obsidian Orbs. | |

The MAAF Main Battle Mech Mk I ‘TRAJAN’ is another one, being a mass-production battle mecha for the Alliance, which stands at 4 meters, or about 13 feet tall. Outside-Context Problem: The Mane Six have been this to a few worlds they've visited: In the Lighting the Darkness Arc, they arrive in a world of Earth Ponies without any magic ruled over by an evil demon named Lord Yomi and his minions. The Mane Six's own magic not only allows them to fight Yomi's forces, but is far beyond many of them, meaning they're virtual superheroes there. They're even able to purify 'Forgotten Ones', ponies who have been warped into mindless beasts by Yomi who the natives could only Mercy Kill, something that shocks all present. In the Under the Red Sun Arc, the Mane Six are magic users who operate on a completely different system than anyone present and are capable of spells they don't know. This isn't nearly the advantage it is in the Lighting the Darkness Arc. Garden!Cheerilee is a dangerous, aspiring Serial Killer (having just started her attempted murder of Scootaloo) but she's just a normal pony. Cheerilee prime is already a physical equal to her, so when she activates her Paladin Armor, Garden!Cheerilee is left completely outclassed. Especially considering she only has traps intended to murder foals, not an adult wearing a suit of Powered Armor. The 'Hidden Ones' (the Unicorns, Pegasi, Flutterponies, and Sea Ponies) are this, as while in general they're comparable to the pre-jaunting Ponyland in terms of power, though using magic instead of technology. However, their magic is very different than the Mainline Equestrians, making up for their comparably lower capabilities with being unpredictable. One worldline visited is War of the Worlds alternate Ponylands. It turns out that one of the Pantheon of First Heroes, the Noble Prime, left an artifact called the Matrix of Nobility there, the Tales Seven managed to uncover it and got Brave Series styled Super Robot which was this to the Martians. While not a complete game breaker, it still evened the odds majorly. | |

Curbstomp Battle: The Mane Cast dish out a lot of these during the Lighting the Darkness Arc, due to being stronger than Lord Yomi's witches and warlocks, who are so used to being invincible that they had no idea how to fight someone who can actually harm them. One that stands out is Rainbow Dash vs Fubo, as unlike his fellow Kings, he's too Unskilled, but Strong to keep up and gets thoroughly thrashed when faced with someone as strong as himself. Rainbow Dash ends up fighting Factory Rainbow Dash. At first it's an even Mirror Match...and then Rainbow sees the native Scootaloo and realizes why she's there. She instantly goes into her Rainbow Power form and hands Factory Dash her flank. The first half of the Mane Six's fight with the Metal Mane Six doesn't go very well for them with the exception of Metal Twilight and Metal Spike vs Twilight and Spike, until they use their Paladin Armor to even the odds. The Royal Guard and police in Paladin Armor vs the Crimson Dragons, a criminal syndicate. The armor lets them walk through everything the Dragons send their way and quickly dismantle the syndicate. The Space Legionnaires of the Hegemony's against pretty much EVERYONE they came across, due to them being elite and enhanced super-soldiers based on the Astartes from 40K. It took the likes of a giant Mechanical Monster, the Uber Troggles and their Ram Necromancer masters for them to meet their match. Captain Cerberus and her squad's boarding action during the First Multiversal War had been described less as a battle and more as a bloodbath. The Giant Six (with the Mane Cast supporting) clear out Bandit Pass, a very heavily defended brigand camp, within hours, literally crushing almost everything in their way...and that was them holding back. If the Mane Cast hadn't insisted on a mostly non-lethal approach, it would have been a slaughter. Alliance forces vs. a traitor daimyo's army in the Ninja Six's world. With the Riders, Giant Six and others helping out, Gladstone never had a chance. The Berry Triplets call Godzilla Junior in his pony form when the portal can be reopened to help stop the Death Crawlers. Within a few moments of his arrival, the four surviving basic Death Crawlers are dead. Subverted with the Alpha, which proceeds to get in a long drag out fight with Junior. A trio of Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond psychotic bullies who like going on killing sprees in G3 based worlds for sport arrive in the World of Empathy and find themselves facing Kimono. Kimono defeats all three without ever attacking once simply by tanking or dodging everything they have until they collapse from exhaustion and one has a Heel Realization. Catrinamon and Samudramon give one to the heroes following their digivolution to Mega via the Rainbow of Darkness, more or less beating the Digidestined 7 into the ground without even trying after knocking the jaunters away. After Twilight and the Mainline Tales 7 rejoin the fight with the prototype Power Up system for the armor (activated out of desperation), it turns into a Curb-Stomp Cushion while the Twilight and her Patch, Starlight, and Sweetheart along with their counterparts and their partners hold them off so that the rest can defeat Huntermon and CaptainHookmon so all of them can try and beat the two Megas together. | |
