Taken up to notch in this fic as not only does he stupidly threaten two advanced civilizations that are literally eons ahead of his own, but his claim to the Saderan throne is even more illegitimate as Molt had officially named Pina as his successor. The Empire as a whole qualified. They stylized themselves as the pinnacle of human civilization and act like the entire world rightfully belonged to them. As reflected by their numerous and unjust conquests of other territories and lands within Falmart to expand their “glory" in the past. In reality, they were just a primitive and barbaric imperialist nation that ruled only a chunk of their own planet compared to the galaxy-spanning civilization of the Terran Dominion. Valerian even comments that he could always send in a battlecruiser to completely obliterate them and still be able to make it back home for dinner. Break the Haughty: The Empire as a whole fits the bill, as everything that happened to them in this story was brought on by their greed and hubris. The Saderan Empire had remained undefeated for centuries and as a result, they believed themselves to be unbeatable and the pinnacle of civilization, when they were in actuality just a barbarous kingdom that deluded themselves to believing they owned everything around them. Rory even remarks to herself that The Empire was becoming a rotting tree threatening to ruin the Falmart pantheons garden if they weren’t humbled sooner. But when the gate opened up, they believed they could send armies to conquer a world of primitive tribes for riches and glory as they had before. Only to face on the other side, the might of the spacefaring Terran Dominion, who quickly punished the haughty primitive army for believing they could raid their capital city and get away with it. Needless to say after several months of decimating their armies, vassal states, and nuking an entire city, The Empire’s arrogant mindset shatters completely, and barring Zorzal and his pro-war faction, The vast majority of the Empire surrenders to the galactic superpower. Pina despite having her father’s wisdom in certain aspects, was just as ignorant and arrogant as the rest of the Saderan royal family and believed they could defeat the Dominion with enough time and resources. But was sorely mistaken as she and Bozes get a front-row seat to just how vastly superior their enemy is in comparison to their puny backwater world when they visit Augustgrad. It was only after witnessing their alliance against Amon and exhausting all the narrow minded options she could think of (even thinking she could make alliances with the other galactic superpowers despite knowing absolutely nothing about them) that she broke down in front of Valerian and accepted the fact they needed to surrender or face the wrath of the titan they provoked. | |

Fantastic Racism: The Empire and good chunks of Falmart were this, as due to their ignorance and in particular their arrogance, they deemed demi-humans as inferior due to their half animal appearances, which resulted in becoming victims of The Empire’s conquest’s, discrimination and tragically the enslavement of their kind. But the Dominion is quick to squash this racism out and has Alnus hill become a prosperous city where demi-humans can live harmoniously with mankind and not fear The Empire’s racism or cruelty. Later Pina seeking to atone for the Empire’s barbarity, outlaws slavery and removed several laws against Demi-humans. While it’s far from fixing the years of suffering on their kind, it is a great start to healing relations between these races. Unfortunately despite Pina outlawing slavery and creating reforms for demi-humans and mankind to coexist, Zorzal and his faction however kept stubbornly believing demi-humans are “dumb and inferior" to themselves. But when the Protoss enter the playing field put them in the same crude category despite not being remotely associated with the native term. Even after the Protoss utterly decimate their forces, they still believe due to their massively swollen ego’s they’re just “dumb demi-humans who use cowardly magic". later on Zorzal’s pro war faction in retaliation to Pina’s reforms for coexistence between mankind and Demi Human’s, pooled their resources to owning a literal island where they can continue their depraved lifestyle’s. Which includes cruelty and horrid actions against demi-human slaves. But that island is quickly raided by the Heaven’s Devil’s alongside Tyuule and the warrior bunnies; the former to destroy the Zerg samples located there, and the latter to free the rest of their enslaved sisters alongside the other victims there. Once Zorzal and his Pro War faction are no more, Alnus Hill becomes the bedrock for humanity and Demi-Humans to now live together. And Thirty years later, Pina’s reforms pays off as Demi Human’s now peacefully coexist as apart of humanity and are strewn all across the Terran Dominion’s colonies as citizens of the galactic empire. | |

Eventually after successfully reverse engineering Tuka’s elven genes, the Dominion has managed to replicate her race’s longevity to allow for any human and non-elf races to live for two to three centuries. Leading to one hundred years becoming the new thirty for all Dominion citizens. Rory and the Apostles are able to live for five hundred years and remain the same age when they were chosen to be Apostles before eventually ascending into divine beings and replace the Falmart god they once served under. | |

Pointing out how he has done nothing but wage a foolish war against foes that are literally eons more powerful than him; resulting in the deaths of numerous soldiers and destroyed several vital territories just to satisfy his fragile ego and lust for conquest. But Zorzal dismisses this logic and rants about being capable of slaying the Protoss and Dominion if he were emperor. Outraged by the audacity of Zorzal’s delusions, Pina further drove the point that his idiocy and shortsightedness have caused more destruction and suffering for Sadera than the Dominion, Daelaam, and even the Zerg combined. But when Zorzal physically lashes out she still isn’t afraid; and further digs in that while she was afraid of him before, she now sees her brother as nothing but a pathetic manchild whose plan to use a changeling wearing her skin to control The Empire will eventually crumble apart like the rotting fortress he’s using. To add salt to the wound, Pina even throws in Zorzal only being known by the end of all this ,as his infamous nickname, "the foolish prince of soil". | |

Thus the whole time he was just hoping this could all end in a peaceful resolution once they caught the perpetrators. But that all changed when he learned that The Empire had enslaved a good handful of his citizens they kidnapped in their attempted invasion. Then when learning of the horrific atrocities these savages had done to the enslaved Dominion citizens, decided enough was enough. After freeing all the remaining Dominon slaves and killing all the scum who brutally tormented them, Valerian ordered a nuke to be dropped on a slaver city for all of Flamart to witness. Once the Daelaam learn of these abuses of power, and the source of all this chaos, they are quick to confront Hardy in her own temple, and using a cage designed for void based beings, imprison her to be judged for her galactic level crimes by the Protoss council. Eventually, once the Falmart natives learned of their god’s self serving manipulations they collectively abandoned all worship of the Falmart pantheon and become a more secular. Resulting in the Falmart gods to nearly lose all their power and influence to the point most of them are begging for followers nowadays. | |

Meanwhile, she’ll be forcing him to witness the new era he could’ve been apart of, if it weren’t for his hubris. Making him an example of what happens when one chooses a path of pride and insatiable greed. But despite Pina’s original intent, Zorzal is still alive in the present day. since later on in the epilogue, the poor bastard’s fate somehow worsened as Alarak decides to buy Zorzal due to seeing his pitiful remnants as a “work of art� amongst the Tal’darim. Thus the living corpse is propped up as a sideshow attraction for the denizens of Falmart to mock and ridicule as payback for all the suffering he brought upon them; while Alarak revels in the sheer negative emotions Zorzal produces. All while the other Tal’darim alter his mind and memories to continually feel his never ending cocktail of misery and despair. Needless to say, it seems it will be a long time before Alarak grows bored with Zorzal’s living corpse. | |

Stupid Evil: Zorzal perfectly personifies this, especially in this fanfic, as the man continually refused to admit defeat like his father did and pointlessly waged an idiotic war against the Terrans and later the Protoss. Even after seeing his opponents, have time and time again proven to be literally eons more advanced and powerful than the armies of his backwater and primitive homeworld, his deluded and bloated ego combined with his plain-out idiocy, refuses to acknowledge this painfully obvious fact; and always believed their superior might are just mere illusions. Not to mention, deeming them as "cowardly barbarians" due to constantly misinterpreting restraint and mercy as weakness. But Zorzal takes it to the level that even after being thoroughly curbstomped by the Dominion and Protoss, somehow he still firmly believed he could’ve slaughtered and defeated them if he was emperor, much to Pina’s shock, and points out that all he would’ve done was just ended up getting all of Sadera killed for his ego. Then when the Zerg infestation breaks out in his fortress, Zorzal has a psychotic breakdown and blames Pina for all the problems he brought upon himself and tries strangling her, as the Zerg unleash the hyper evolutionary virus to try infesting everyone. Eventually, this all comes to bite him back in the most horrific way possible as he’s left as a deformed half dead abomination left to be Alarak’s source of enjoyment. But considering all the atrocities he has committed, little pity is warranted. Dulles takes second place in this category, for how he truly exemplified how stupidity is infinite during "negotiations" with the Protoss. Not only acting obscenely rude to them but having the gall to demand the enslavement of the Protoss, a race that makes the Terrans (who already thoroughly showed their might by nuking an entire city) look like cavemen in comparison to their godlike civilization. And as many could expect the Protoss do not take very kindly to such a ludicrous demand from a faction of backwater barbarians. It was only thanks to Pina being quick enough to not associate the rest of the empire with Zorzal’s faction that all of Sadera hasn’t been reduced to glass because of this man’s mouth. The Haryo tribe is already pretty dumb for going along with Zorzal and his idiotic campaign against two galactic superpowers and expecting anything good to come out of it. But after the Zerg invasion was stopped, they smuggled a few larvae, as they foolishly believed they could cultivate the aliens and weaponize them. But as expected the Zerg breaks out and starts an infestation in their fortress that kills or assimilates the Haryo and Zorzal’s pro-war faction before being nuked to oblivion by the Dominion to prevent a hive cluster from forming. | |

Medieval Morons: The Saderan Empire was basically a fantasy version of the Roman Empire, who have barely even understood the basics of metallurgy, much less science and physics. Thus when The Empire and denizens of Falmart first witnessed the Dominion’s and eventually Protoss’s extremely advanced technology, they always misinterpret it as magic and deem those who use it as powerful mages, due to their primitive and ignorant nature. When seeing their starships, military vehicles, mechs and aircrafts the natives think they’re all metallic beasts, while after witnessing their weapons of mass destruction firsthand, think it’s the wrath of their own gods. On top of all that, The Empire constantly assumed the Dominon were "barbarians who use cowardly magic" due to their primitive and rigid beliefs of how battles are fought. But even after getting their asses handed to them multiple times by the Terran’s advanced military might, continued believing this largely thanks to their arrogant behavior. Though when the pro-war faction fought the Protoss’s Tal’darim, they initially thought they would have advantage for once since they used swords like them. But that’s because they’re so freakin powerful, they only use them to keep things fair in a fight. Plus Alarak is a sadist so melee combat lets him and his comrades enjoy the bloodbath as they decimate the pro-war faction. However once Falmart becomes apart of the Dominion they are promptly uplifted into a modernized and technologically advanced civilization like the other Terran colonies. With the next generation likely to only know of their world’s medieval ways through history books. | |

Pina doesn’t even hesitate accepting this offer and three decades after the planet is annexed into the galactic empire, Falmart goes from a backwater medieval fantasy world, to a prosperous and highly advanced civilization that is proving to be the second most important world to the Dominion’s territory. | |
