One young man by the name of Midoriya Izuku wants to be a Pro Hero, a super-powered crimefighter, so he can save people with a smile and bring them hope in their time of need - much like his favorite hero, All Might.The only problem? He's Quirkless, part of those who lack a Quirk. However, no amount of bullying or scorn is going to beat his desire to become a hero out of him.A pretty girl he meets by pure chance tells him she can help him become a hero, in exchange for a date. Against his better judgment, Izuku agrees to it...... and the girl, who turns out to be a fallen angel, kills him. They didn't tell anyone else though, making them think the two just disappeared one day, up until Linne spots him in the stands amidst 1-A, and declares she's going to drag him back to Kanzakai. Code Geass: One of the original characters in 1-A, Liana Kozuki, is the daughter of the No. 4 and 5 heroes, Zero and Guren, aka Lelouch and Kallen. She also calls Milly her aunt, mentions Cera* A fanon regarding what C.C.'s real name is, and has a half-sister named Cynthia Fenette, all but stating that Lelouch is not only married to Kallen but Shirley too. Adaptational Badass: The characters tend to be more badass than their counterparts in both canons. Izuku gets Boosted Gear, the powers of a Pawn, and his draconic inheritance. This gives him Super-Strength, the ability to fly and fire long-range attacks, a gauntlet that can multiply all of his physical abilities to the point he can become a God-killing Lightning Bruiser and summon a Power Armor, and the ability to take up the powers of the Rook, Knight, Bishop or Queen if he needs them. Then All Might gives him One for All and Izuku manages (with Ddraig's help) to use its strength-boosting powers much sooner, combining it with Boosted Gear up to a certain point and developing Dragon Veil (the fic's equivalent of Full Cowl) faster. In canon, All Might was able to defeat the USJ Nomu by pummeling it with three hundred rapid-fire punches. Here, it takes 500 hits to defeat even though All Might still has One for All. Given how the Nomu recovers from its injuries, it's heavily hinted (and later confirmed) that the Nomu was originally a Phenex family member, giving it a pure-blood devil's inherent toughness along with the Phenex's Healing Factor. | |

For Want of a Nail: Due to the rise of Quirks and subsequent "dark age" brought about by the chaos Quirks caused, various organized religions faced upheaval, causing damage to the Supernatural factions. Many religions that weren't compatible with Quirks died out, while others had to adapt to maintain some level of influence. Rias notes that the Abrahamic religions in particular were hit hard, the number of followers reduced to less than a quarter of what they once were. She also notes that Sirzechs told her that, initially, the Satans had planned on revealing themselves so as to try and alleviate the chaos, but decided against it out of fearing making things worse. Conversely, the advent of Quirks made it a lot easier for some supernatural races to more easily integrate with humanity, able to pass off their inhuman traits as just being byproducts of Quirks. Because Raynare didn't toy with Izuku's feelings as much as she did to Issei in canon, Rias is willing to let her go at Izuku's request. As Izuku doesn't suffer from the same level of PTSD Issei had, he's more aware of the girls' feelings for him and confesses to them all before the Peace Conference Arc. All Might saved Momo and Kyoka from the Sludge Villain instead of Izuku. Due to having the Boosted Gear, Izuku scores first place in the U.A. Entrance Exam, while Bakugo is pushed down to 5th place. Conversely, as Izuku didn't need help landing after taking out the Zero-Pointer, Ochako scores lower than in canon, taking 10th place. Izuku makes more of an impression on Ravel Phenex - enough that she transfers to U.A. much sooner than she transferred to Kuoh Academy in High School D×D. The Rating Game ends in victory for Rias' Peerage, averting the fight at the wedding. Izuku's use of his Scale Mail takes place instead at the USJ. The USJ class trip involves Classes 1-A and 1-B instead of just 1-A. The fourth and fifth Japanese Heroes are Liana's parents, Zero and Guren, which displaces everyone in the canon list from Best Jeanist down. Only 32 students make it past the Obstacle Course instead of 42. Due to this, Aoyama, Hagakure, Mineta, and Sero don't make it to the Cavalry Battle. Ibara and Milia take Ochako's (who teams up with Liana, Shinso, and Itsuka) and Tokoyami's (who is instead with Kaminari, Tetsutetsu, and Honenuki) places in Izuku's team. Tsuyu takes Sero's place in Bakugo's team, while Kyoka replaces Kaminari in Todoroki's team. As a result of the Battle, Kaminari, Tetsutetsu, and Tokoyami don't reach the final event. With Aoyama and Sero dropped in the Obstacle Course, it leaves five places that are taken by Kendo, Kyoka, Liana, Milia, and Tsuyu. The different lineup in the final tournament causes further changes: Kendo, Hatsume, and Momo make it to the quarter-finals, respectively defeating Kirishima, Bakugo and Iida. Izuku, Ibara, and Kendo reach the semifinals after defeating Liana, Tsuyu and Momo. The tournament ends with Izuku (who defeats Ibara) vs Todoroki, with the former winning the fight. Izuku gets confirmation that One For All contains echoes of the spirits of the previous users after the battle with Shinso thanks to Ddraig. Eri ends up being freed from Overhaul's grasp during the time period between the Sports Festival and the Spring internships by an unknown person, who places her in the path of the ORC for them to take care of, rather than being rescued in late summer/early fall during the Yakuza raid. Izuku chooses "Viridian" as his hero name instead of "Deku". Bakugo (who only got 8 internship offers) ends up interning at the Armed Detective Agency instead of Best Jeanist, while Momo and Itsuka (on Izuku's advice) pick Fat Gum and a Pro Hero called Thunder Fist, respectively, instead of Uwabami. Gran Torino, hearing about all the internship offers Izuku got, travels to him at U.A. to help him train instead, and Izuku calls the new technique he develops "Dragon Veil" instead of "Full Cowl". Izuku ends up going to Ryukyu's agency in Shinjuku instead. There are more than just three Nomu in Hosu, and a different group of hero students answers Izuku's distress call. The Winged Nomu also grabs Itsuka instead of Izuku. Mirio ended up leaving Nighteye's agency over what happened with him after he turned down One For All. In the end of term practical exam, both hero classes are mixed up in groups of 5, and instead of fighting the teachers they are put through different scenarios (such as Hostage Situations or Disaster Rescue) while being pit against Pro Heroes (Izuku's team has to fight Mirko and Ryukyu, for example). | |

In Chapter 7, when Rias takes Izuku and Ibara to get their familiars, the Familiar Master initially offers Izuku as a potential dragon familiar, and Izuku feels a jolt of fear when he mentions Tiamat. He also has several draconic powers, namely a transformation that grants him dragon wings and scales, that Issei never got from the Boosted Gear. Come Chapter 16 and it's revealed that Izuku has dragon heritage. In Chapter 23, there's a news report talking about a tiger in Yokohama. Bungo Stray Dogs fans will automatically know who said tiger is. Lailah is first mentioned by All for One's doctor as having arrived back in the city in chapter 25. The next chapter has a woman with spider traits, revealed to be Lailah in chapter 29. Early in the story, Rias mentions that All Might is also famous in the Underworld and that devils often try to recruit heroes. All Might reveals in Chapter 32 he knows about the ORC being devils because he's been visited by so many devils trying to recruit him, he can spot them a mile away. Chapter 35's big reveal, that Todoroki is a girl, gets much foreshadowing (post-Orwellian Retcon). When getting ready for Battle Training, he is mentioned as waiting until the others are out to put on his costume, with All Might's internal monologue mentioning he knows that it is not because Todoroki is shy and just before Class 1-A and 1-B leaving for the USJ, Aizawa notes to himself that Todoroki won't be able to keep his true identity a secret for much longer when he arrives last for departure and Iida berates him for it. Aika reveals her ability, mentioning she knows how much the 11 1-A male students are packing downstairs when there are supposed to be 12. Before the Quirkless sparring between Izuku and Todoroki, Mizu calls out Todoroki-channote while it can be used with boys, in this context Mizu is using it only with the girls. | |

All Might still offers Midoriya the chance to become the Ninth Torchbearer, which the boy accepts. Several during the Sports Festival (which has the same events as in canon). Izuku wins first place during the Obstacle Course. Hatsume joins Izuku's Cavalry team on the basis of him being the first in the previous event. Iida (who is in Todoroki's team) uses his Recipro Burst to allow Todoroki to take Izuku's team's headband. Bakugo eavesdrops on Izuku's conversation with Todoroki and learns his secret. Izuku and Shinso's combat is essentially the same as in canon, the only difference being how Izuku wakes himself up (instead of breaking a finger, One for All brings out the Boosted Gear so it will stab him in the leg). Ibara quickly defeats her first opponent by grabbing them with her vines. Ochako loses her first match, but it's against Tsuyu and she doesn't get to make as much of an impact. Hatsume takes over the sound system to pitch in her tech during her match. Todoroki covers the entire stadium with his ice in his first match. For background characters, despite being in a universe where The Holy Britannian Empire does not exist, it appears that Lelouch Lamperouge, Kallen Stadtfelt/Kouzuki, and Shirley Fenette all know each other (and are in a relationship). Comments between Liana and Cynthia also imply the trio are friends with Milly Ashford and C.C.note Liana mentions hoping Cera didn't see Izuku accidentally groping her during the Sport's Festival, and Cera is one of the most common real names C.C. is given in Code Geass Fanon, which is confirmed in a later chapter, which also confirms that C.C. is still immortal in this universe.
