Sand In My Eyes: Signum had a moment of this upon learning that Trixie did not intend to have the Wolkenritter hurt innocent ponies to fill the pages of the Book of Darkness. This doubles as an unintentional Secret Test of Character turned heartwarming for two reasons. First, Signum fully expected Trixie to jump at the chance to gain even more power then what the Princesses had. Secondly, Trixie was extremely tempted, but didn't like the idea of gaining that power by hurting innocent ponies and stealing the magic from their Linker Cores. Vita, after seeing the rabbit doll that Trixie made for her. |

In A's, the master of the Book of Darkness is an Equestrian native. Specifically Trixie, who found the Book sometime after leaving Ponyville and later activated it while working at the rock farm she mentioned in canon. Again, it's more than a small change as Luna originally created the Book when it was the Tome of the Night Sky. However, this also means Gil Graham never found the Book of Darkness's master the way he did in canon and he never implemented his plan to seal the book. In Spite of a Nail: With that said, Graham is up to some shady business, although this time he's being pressured into it by the TSAB High Council. Chapter 13 also reveals that he still found an orphaned Hayate...but since Hayate wasn't the master of the Book of Darkness Graham adopted her and made sure she had a happy life on Earth. |
