Pillars of Sand is a crossover between Worm and Avatar: The Last Airbender by Argentorum. It was originally posted on his Ten Times Snippet Compilation Thread but will soon receive its own thread (in a similar vein to Beacon Hill's Morning Worm and spinoff stories From High Above, The Student, Woof, Nemesis, and I Am Skitter).Taylor Hebert is now a Sandbender of the Si Wong Desert who travelled south to Gaoling and started competing in the Earth Rumble tournaments. During the events of Book 2 Chapter 6, "The Blind Bandit", she goes up against Toph Beifong as Aang, Katara, and Sokka are in town. Taylor somehow manages to win against the Blind Bandit in the contest, earning the fascination of Team Avatar (and even Toph!) in the process, but Taylor is interested in learning from the previous champion.Things quickly spiral out of control when Lao Beifong wants his daughter back.Not to be confused with Paper and Sand, another Worm fanfic with- despite some things in common- an entirely different premise. | |
