She won the top acting prize in the Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival for her star performance.

That said, the film isn't wholly unsympathetic with why some women might go that far as a result of mistreatment, and Duke is consequently revealed as being a rape survivor who had been a Sex Slave for many years.
