Further complicating issues are the two men's old ladies, who both have their own design on the growing schism.

Played with; after it turns out Skink did have some heroin left over from the earlier robbery, which gets him kicked out of the club and damages Paddo's standing in the club, Paddo beats him to the point of Skink pissing himself and then later seems to consider smothering Skink while he sleeps before changing his mind. At the end of the film, he shoots Skink while dying in what could be seen as an effort to spare him from being murdered by the Devils or being sent to prison but can also be seen as getting revenge for his brother essentially destroying Paddo's life with his behavior.

For all his bluster about hating Skink/Adam and considering him dead weight who "should have been drowned at birth", Knuck can't bring himself to hit him after catching him with drugs or shoot him in order to kill Paddo. Although, given that he'd already shot Paddo once and it ended up being a lethal wound, this could have just been not wanting to have another death on his rap sheet and/or conscience for no reason. But he clearly is conflicted either way.
