Running Gag: When reading out onscreen instructions, he replaces any reference to buttons with "something". So for example a caption reading "press A to rotate the item screen and B to close the inventory" will be read as "press something to rotate the item screen and something to close the inventory". In Super Mario Galaxy, constantly mentioning how things in the game remind him of Treasure Planet. Mixing up the names of items in Banjo-Kazooie and especially its sequel, and then often doing Rapid-Fire Name Guessing to try and work out which one he meant. Josh singing things, often with Lyrical Dissonance, to the tune of Christmas songs seems to be becoming one, especially in co-ops with other people. Talking about how something in a game reminds him of Banjo-Kazooie, and using that to segue into gushing about how much he loves Banjo-Kazooie. Brick Joke: An offhand joke about coming back to play a particularly difficult level in Donkey Kong Country Returns when the world ends on 21st December 2012 actually results in a bonus video of Josh and Super Jeenius playing through That One Level, uploaded on that date. Also a cross channel one, in his and AttackingTucans' Versus series, Tyler jokingly states that Josh's next LP is Pokémon Snap, Josh call him out with shock that he guessed his next let's play, then revealed he was just joking. Cue April Fool's day, and part one of Let's Play Pokémon snap. During the first appearance of Princess Zelda in A Link Between Worlds, Josh makes a joke about Zelda giving Link her virginity. He makes the same joke in the final episode, when Zelda gives Link the Bow Of Light. | |
