NintendoCapriSun (real name Tim Bishop) is a popular Let's Player on YouTube, with over 400,000 subscribers. He is very prolific, having made full Let's Plays of dozens of games. On December 15, 2010 he announced that he had been made a YouTube Partner. In 2011, he joined a new LP collective called The Runaway Guys along with ProtonJon and Chuggaaconroy. In addition, he has two separate YouTube channels: BreakingNCS, which is dedicated to video blogs and other miscellaneous content; and JealousGuy, which actually predates NintendoCapriSun and focuses more on rants and short film stuff. He is also a member of Polaris. As of 2016, he streams regularly on Twitch, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Heroic BSoD: After calling the parrot to the stand in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, he loses it and laughs for about 5 minutes, noting he hasn't laughed that much since the Great Mighty Poo. He has a much more somber one after finding he reached the bad ending in Justice For All. And at the ending of Case 4 of Trials and Tribulations. During one moment in his Virtue's Last Reward stream, the event on screen causes him to shout a Big "WHAT?!" and then freeze in place for nearly a full minute. (Spoiler Warning) Upon the reveal of the Big Bad in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, Tim is in absolute shock, and refuses to believe that a Nice Guy like Bobby Fulbright could have done it. Related to the previous reveal, Tim was in shock upon Edgeworth's reveal that the real Bobby Fulbright was already long dead and that the one in the witness stand and the detective that was such a nice person was really an imposter. Tim.exe stopped working indeed.

Thing-O-Meter: When he feels one of his catchphrases will get excessive use in a particular LP, he will create a counter for every time he says it. Conker got an "IN THE BATHROOM" meter, which ended at 134. Skyward Sword got a "SO HAPPY" meter, after its absence in Yoshi's Story. Skyward Sword also got a "Mega Man! Mega Man!" counter as a joke at one point, due to Tim saying that every time Fi said something obvious. Starting with Trials and Tribulations, games in the Ace Attorney series got a "WHAT?" counter. In its debut appearance, it ended at a whopping 385. The final case of Trials and Tribulations added a counter for the number of times Larry got whipped by Franziska, with the final count being 38.

Failed a Spot Check
 NintendoCapriSun (Lets Play) / int_21e5b9c7
comment
Failed a Spot Check: Missing the obvious is quite common in his Let's Plays. Multiple times in Yoshi's Story. Melons tend to get "camouflaged" in his fruit border, but one time he misses a melon right in the middle of the screen (and adds an annotation pointing out his flagrant missage). In another episode, he spends several minutes in a panicked state, looking for eggs, without realizing that he has a full egg train following behind him. Happens quite often in his blind run of Conker's Bad Fur Day. He got a lot of flak one time for not immediately realizing he had to take cheese to a mouse. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess features him buying a fire-resistant shield before entering the Goron Mines and then forgetting to equip it for the entirety of that dungeon. Amazingly, he manages not to lose his wooden shield despite nearly every room of that place containing fire and/or lava in abundance. In the Starfruit minigame in Plants vs. Zombies, he continually fails to realize he has enough Sun to start planting them. He adds in annotations from the Starfruit, getting increasingly annoyed as NCS fails to plant him. During his mostly-blind run of the final stage of the Lost World of Donkey Kong Country 2, after getting through a chunk of the stage, he wonders if there's a checkpoint. While it's right in the middle of the screen. Again. Cue more annotations. Another life later, he drops into the checkpoint STILL without noticing it, leaving him surprised to spawn there after he died once more. In his blind run of DKC 3, during the run of the last world, he failed to note in Lightning Look-Out that the little lightning was the warning for the big lightning. He only noted this during a bonus game, 11 minutes into the video. During the same chapter, in Koindozer Klamber, he was desperately looking for a Bonus Barrel in the 2nd half of the level, and when he arrived to the screen of the Bonus Barrel, he kept throwing himself into the holes without noting the Bonus Barrel being just there. He just noted that a minute later. Also in his Mario Party 2 solo run, while he dominated the competition (See Crowning Moment of Awesome above), he forgot to show us the detailed stats for the Mystery Land board. It's somewhat of a Running Gag in the DK64 LP, but an egregious example can be seen in Part 16. He ended a Bonus Stage with Diddy, but then, he leaves behind the Golden Banana without picking it up. As he put it out (a comment about that action in-video): "Umm... forget something?" In the same LP (Part 43), in Crystal Caverns while he was getting a balloon for Tiny (which is in the same area as Diddy's blueprint), he got the balloon, but missed the obvious Tiny Pad, which leads to another Golden Banana. Approximately two minutes later, when he returns to the same area with Diddy to get the blueprint, he realizes he missed the pad while he was using Tiny, leading to having to return to the same place with her later on. Again, during the DK64 LP (Part 67), when he was in Hideout Helm for the first time, there was a Pineapple Switch in plain sight (this switch allows you to progress further into the dungeon). He missed that switch various times. NCS changed his character from Lanky to Chunky... and he KEPT missing the switch, and he even got back to almost the beginning, being stumped. When he FINALLY found the switch, which was his excuse? The room was too dark to allow him seeing the switch. In part 56 of the Pokémon Sapphire blind LP, he forgot to heal before the final battle against Champion Steven. He caught on that mistake just when he entered the room. In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, he at one point visits the witch's hut but fails to note the obvious Maiamai sitting out in the open. As in some of the above examples, he places an annotation over the video, this time as though providing speech bubbles to the Maiamai who desperately wants to be rescued and is flabbergasted that Link doesn't notice him. During his LP of Super Mario Odyssey, he tends to miss Purple Coins that are easy to find. He pokes fun of this tendency in episode 31, where he somehow misses two Purple Coins that are right out there in the open during a slow platforming section where he's going out of his way to look for collectibles. He edits in two speech bubbles, where the Purple Coins first ask "ARE YOU SERIOUS", and then "ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS" before he leaves them behind. Part 53 of Lufia II has him complete the first of three towers comprising the final dungeon. He wonders if the second is to the northwest or northeast of the town. He climbs the northwest despite 1. The girl back in town telling him it was the northeast tower with him reading that part of the dialogue out loud and 2. The two towers having completely different names that the in-game UI displays upon entering an indoor room. He calls himself out on this in editing.

Oh, Crap!: His reaction to Lucas being cornered by the Ultimate Chimera in Mother 3: "HOOOOOOOLLLLYYYYY SHITI'MGONNADIE!!" A much smaller example was when he realized he slipped off the bridge in Gerudo Valley and left Epona up there. In one of his Plants vs. Zombies videos, he was feeling very happy because the game's composer (the one responsible for the "There's A Zombie On Your Lawn" song) found one of his videos and liked it. He was happy for a few minutes before he realized she'd heard him singing his gross toilet-based lyrics over her awesome music. His mood flipped around rather quickly. The first time he encounters a phazon metroid in Metroid Prime 3, he is terrified!

Epic Fail: When preparing to learn magic in Chrono Trigger, he spends several attempts walking around Spekkio's room in the wrong direction. He readily admits it's not one of his finer moments. During his February 9, 2016 stream, while playing Castlevania III, he delivered the final blow to Dracula and ended up jumping into a pit at the same time as seen here. One comment in the chat even said, "This is going on your Tropes page." In Part 7 of Apollo Justice he weighs on presenting one of two similar pieces of evidence. He presents the wrong one, then immediately presents the same one again! In Part 36 of Final Fantasy V he spends 15 minutes searching for a Stingray in order to learn Big Guard from it, manages to learn the spell and take down most of its HP, only for the Chicken Knife to trigger the party running away before the battle could be won. During his showcasing of 100% Completion in Metroid Dread, he goes through the entire process and beats the game again in one sitting, only to never save once the whole time. Thus the actual Completion Percentage on the file screen is still at 34 after the ending.

Cliffhanger: In this video, he takes on a timed mission in Banjo-Kazooie, and he comes within one second of failing and the video cuts off. He does several in Final Fantasy IV, exactly where one would expect them. Cutting off before Rydia re-joins the party is one he claims he's wanted to do his whole life.

Shout-Out: In general, he likes to spout off random lines from shows, movies and games whenever he thinks about them. Trying to name them all would take quite a while (though Star Fox 64 is a popular choice). Starts one video in his Banjo-Tooie LP with the same intro Chuggaaconroy uses. His Twilight Princess LP starts by making a Pun about "living on the edge", and saying it's "better than living in the fridge". He occasionally uses some of HC Bailly's Catch Phrases. In his Let's Play of Super Mario 64, he references ElectricalBeast's own Let's Play ("TELEPOR'!") His status on his channel is one to the song 'Afterimage', by Rush. He seems to be a big fan of Egoraptor, as he's referenced Game Grumps in his Donkey Kong 64 playthrough and a couple of Runaway Guys videos. The "Mega Man! Mega Man!" running joke in Skyward Sword comes from Egoraptor's Sequelitis video about Mega Man X. In his Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door LP, during the annoying back-and-forth portion of Chapter 4, he names his videos "The Bored Identity/Supremacy/Ultimatum/Legacy'', after The Bourne Series.

Comments were saying it was okay to cry in the ending cutscene where Conker states he'd give up everything to have Berri back. He never did (if he did, he held it in), but did finish it off with a "You can't end the game like that!!"

Character Catchphrase: Quite a few: "Better get some more toilet paper" "(Yoshi!) So happy!" "You bite, you die!" (originally about the Piranha Plants from Super Mario Galaxy 2) You know, IN THE BATHROOM! note This popular line comes from Weird Al Yankovic's "A Complicated Song." *ding* "D'OH I MISSED!", due to Chugga's attempts to popularize the phrase in The Runaway Guys' videos. "A secret <X>!" in the same fluctuation HC Bailly does it. Also, "STAY AWAY FROM THE SUMMONER!" "You tell that asshole!" appears frequently in his Let's Plays of dialogue-heavy games. Will often end sentences with "...lemme tell ya!" "<X> THOOOOOUUUUUSAND <X>!" Another Shout-Out to HC Bailly. "Name that movie." "Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooookay everyone I'm back." In some of his Legend of Zelda LPs (such as The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess for two), he has "Oh my God! Can't wait to see!" when opening a chest. He's prone to singing the lyric "I keep forgetting we're not in love any more". "The fur-hur-hur-hur-nace!" "A BEE?!" "Two times in a row, man! Try to take a drink of water and it drips down the left side of my faaaaaace!" "The armory, the bakery, the armory, the bakery" "Yay." (from his vlogs) "You're crazy, man! You're crazy!" "Smells like burning deodorant!" "I could sleep here." Lampshaded in part 6 of Secret of Evermore, when Tim remarks he's amazed the LP has lasted this long without a mention of it. "DAT ASS!" note In reference to Kirlia's back sprite from Pokémon Sapphire He shouts a long, exasperated "DUDE!" whenever he repeatedly messes something up (especially in Cloudberry Kingdom). "And smash his face with an iron!" "I like it when I'm sniffininininininin' mahmahmahmahmah balls!" To his viewers: "So, how's everybody doing today?" or "Hope everybody's doing okay today", sometimes followed by the day's date. "Is it Edgeworth?" sometimes even in videos that have nothing to do with Ace Attorney.

Toilet Humor: Many, many examples of this throughout his Let's Plays. He's gotten better over time, however. A lot of fans expect him to go right back to stage one with his Conker's Bad Fur Day LP, he even has a meter for how many times he says "In the bathroom". Later on, he forgot what number his meter was up to and started it at 9001 because it was OVER 9000!! The actual final "In The Bathroom" count is 134. And when he meets The Great Mighty Poo, his life was fulfilled. Not to mention all the rest of his songs about taking dumps. Like THIS ONE!! His Gag Dub of the infamous laughing scene from Final Fantasy X replaced the laughs with belches.

Running Gag: He has a few. Calling Bowser a float in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Lampshaded the second time he does so, asking "Will this be the running gag for this LP?" No, it wasn't. In the final battle, there was no mention of floats. IN THE BATHROOM! *ding* "So happy!" "You tell that asshole!", when he agrees with a character's dialogue. Whenever he works his ass off and finally finishes a Nintendo Hard Segment or Sidequest, and the reward he gets is incredibly miniscule or undeserving, he has an understandably peeved reaction. (here's another for good measure) "Better get some more toilet paper." and the like when tackling a tough challenge. Has a habit of titling a video "Super <X> Massacre" when it involves lots of death, either for the mooks or himself. "Is this okay, Mommy" became one during the Majora's Mask LP when he noted that if you caught something in a bottle, you held it up to the screen as if to say the phrase. In his Twilight Princess playthrough, he would go "I like it when I'm sniffin' mah balls!" whenever he collects a Poe's Soul. Sometimes, when a game gets Hijacked by Ganon (or Dr. Wily), he'll edit in Iago saying "Oh, there's a big surprise! I think I'm going to have a heart attack and die from that surprise!". "There's that glass of milk again..." Ending every video of Ni no Kuni with the camera positioned inside a plant. And if no plants are available, editing in fake ones. Some variant of "And find the location of the ringmaster's head!" stemming from Case 3 of the second Ace Attorney game. The "right now, someone is _____" annotations towards the end of Part 5 of the Metroid LP, which quickly get out of hand. Inserting the Stage 4-2 music from Adventure Island into the video whenever he's exploring one of the reef areas in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
