I Need a Freaking Drink: At the end of his animation of TRG's first Panic Pinball game from their Mario Party 5 LP, he breaks out the vodka. His vodka pull even made the LP's official Top 10 at the end of the #3 moment. After the gongshow that was the 2019 E3 Bethesda panel, Tom once again broke out the vodka.

The Scrappy
Tom Fawkes (Lets Play) / int_2b7ec38e
comment
The Scrappy: invoked Invoked. Tom really hates Severa from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Selena from Fire Emblem Fates, who are incidentally the same person. Whenever they have a support conversation, he makes this clear for the most part, and gives them rather grating voices as well to emphasize this fact. He gives Hilda from Fire Emblem: Three Houses the same treatment, with disparaging comments (since voice acting is on) every time he has to deal with her. This has softened somewhat after the time-skip, though he still has his moments now and then. He's notably rather annoyed that she gets to cameo in the Three Houses level in Smash Ultimate. He's also not very fond of Kooper or Koops from Paper Mario. When he's not ignoring them, he'll often say something disparaging about them, whether in character or not. Kooper more so, since he gives him an annoying voice. This is averted with Carbon, the google-translated version of Koops from Book of Mario: Thousands of Doors, who ends up being Tom's favorite party member since he goes from a shy, awkward teenager to a genocidal, would-be conqueror with ambitions to kill his father and rule the world.

Vocal Evolution: Happens with some of his voices. Captain Olimar's voice became a bit less gravelly while retaining the refined tones while Louie's voice became higher and less slowed down during the course of Pikmin 2. Zigzagged with the President of Hocotate Freight, whose voice continually drifted between a gaspy, older voice, and one that was notably less so.

Early-Installment Weirdness: During Tom's early Twitch days, he contemplated on following ProtonJon's method of thanking subscribers by playing a sound clip. He was thinking of a clip from Pikmin 3 in which the ship sounded like it was saying "Fruit Bat". He did use that initially until he starts using Vegeta's "BINGO!", complete with Vegeta's "running-in-place" segment of the Bingo Dance on loop. That image eventually got replaced by a Substitute plush dressed up as Vegeta.

Right for the Wrong Reasons: Early on in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Tom voices his suspicions of Toko Fukawa, specifically saying "Someone is dead, and [they] had a hand in it." Toko never kills anyone during the killing game, but the statement is somewhat accurate thanks to her alternate personality Genocide Jack racking up quite a body count before the events of the game.

Drinking Game: In a Twitch stream for the original Mario Party, Tom instigates one of these. He would drink each time that the following occurs: Someone lands on Chance Time, Happening, or Bowser space. An opponent gets a star. An opponent wins a minigame and he doesn't. invokedA control-stick spinning minigame comes up. The Super Gaming Bros. would use similar rules for their drunk Mario Party games; their Mario Party 5 match would see the Star relocate on top of Mark after Elliott bought it.

Catchphrase: For subscriptions on Twitch: "Bingo! [Twitch user], thank you for the x months of [Sub type]. Enjoy your tinted glasses and emotes; here is a Sub for your sub! Mwah!" He gives an additional kiss for Tier 2 subs, and another for Tier 3 subs. "Put me back in the water" can be considered this, seeing as how there are many times where he says this, and is easily one of the most quotable things he has said. Lampshaded in Fire Emblem Fates in Paralouge 5, noting and joking about "They'll Live, He'll Live, She'll live, They'll be fine." being his catchphrase for this particular LP. Wonders out loud during an episode of Tri Force Heroes if he has one of these, eventually deciding it's "[Blank] me!"note [Blank] being an action he wants his teammates to carry out, such as "Lift me!" or "Blow me!" for that LP. Two for his Danganronpa playthroughs on Twitch - "Clefairy" for when the announcement bell rings and "NO, DUMMY!" whenever the protagonist counters during a trial. his Danganronpa 2 playthrough also adds "YES, DUMMY!" for whenever the protagonist agrees with someone during a trial. "SOME RELATIONSHIPS HAVE CHANGED!" in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, parodying Lanz's use of the phrase, but in an accent that gets more and more exaggerated until the chat compares it to Xord from Xenoblade 1. "I'm Tom." Spawned from The Runaway Guys Colosseum 2023 when he would repeat the introduction every time the Disc Only Podcast intro got replayed. Which was a lot. "SUPPORT THE BRAND!" in Book of Mario: Thousands of Doors.

Aerith and Bob: Tom is a master of names, and they are all very odd names. For Fire Emblem: Awakening he named his Avatar "...You" and in Fire Emblem Fates he named his characters "Oh, hey", "That girl", and "Your junk" in Birthright, Conquest, and Revelation respectively. He continued the tradition in Fire Emblem: Three Houses by naming his avatar "Canyunot". And in his Monster Rancher 2 Streams he has "Fuck Me Hard", "Fish D'Lish", and then "What the...", in chronological order. Not even Pokémon Colosseum is safe from this; he named the protagonist in that game "Help, I". During his Ultra Sun Twitch playthrough, he named the protagonist Sbubby, then, thanks to him doing a nickname event for this playthrough, his Inkay later Malamar has the nickname "I, uh...", and his Alolan Vulpix has the nickname "Oh no, Jon". The protagonist of Chulip is named "You jerk" and his love interest is "This guy".

In Parts 4, 6, and 19, it is unclear as to whether his rage is because of the levels that he is playing or if it is because he keeps getting Akus he doesn't want. Do not call him Tommy or Uncle Tom. He threw away a game in Among Us to the Imposters because the one remaining Crewmate called him Tommy just to get the point across on how much being called "Tommy" irks him.

In his Back at the Ranch series whenever he gets Disk Chips on an expedition he will continually say Disk Chips (or even "Dik Chisps"), typically in an Australian accent because he usually goes on expeditions with the seemingly Australian Kavaro.
