In short, hundreds of people are fighting over a controller. Throughout its life, Twitch Plays Pokémon has spawned hilarious characters, memorable moments, and even a few religions.Twitch Plays Pokémon Sirius is the seventh run of the seventh season, which began on June 13th, 2020, and ended on June 23rd, 2020. Pokémon Sirius, the game featured, is an extensive hack of Pokémon Emerald, set in Hoenn after a meteor fall drastically altered the landscape and environment of the region, and caused some whole new species of Pokémon to appear. Among the 203 Pokémon featured in Sirius' Pokédex, 83 are brand new species, although it doesn't stop the chat from commenting on how the remaining 120 returning species are such convincing "fakemon" they almost look official.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); })Sirius broke the recurring tradition of runs set in Hoenn featuring a girl protagonist with a Fire-type starter, the Host chosen instead being a boy named BBCBBHH who began his adventure with the Grass-type Nimbleaf, whom he christened A06HHHHHH. Over the course of the game, BBCBBHH assembled his very own team of Sirius-exclusive Pokémon and Breloom.This run is notable for introducing a whole new set of "fakemon" chat badges awarded upon capture ; unlike the few "fakemon" badges that existed before (MissingNo., Pumbloom, Phancero, and the Naljo Guardians) and were numbered from #2000 onwards, these have received their own set of numbers, ranging from #001-sirius to #202-sirius. Unwinnable by Mistake: Played With. After blacking out in Dewford Town and being sent back to Slateport City, some people began claiming that, because Mr. Briney's boat was still back in Dewford Town, they were now locked out of the second badge. Glitch Entity: Near the end of the run, players went after some of the event Pokémon of Emerald. Due to being Dummied Out of Pokemon Sirius, they ended up kind of wonky. Deoxys had its name show up as "???????", its cry distorted, and its type change from Psychic to Electric/Dragon. While it was not seen in the run proper, its backsprite was higher placed than it should've been too. Mew had the correct cry and type, but its name turned into "Oooo". Additionally, the "Pokémon Storage" section of the run status page had it show up as a Chikorita (still with "Oooo" as its species name), while the "Pokédex" section had it listed with both the name and sprite of ??????????. | |
