In Volume 3, Lena pulls this again when her unit, being unidentified to Shin at the time, unleashed large number of mortars at the Morpho that AI Kiriya's using, immobilizing it, destroyed its explosive reactive armor panels, and gives Shin another chance to beat it. She then follows up with napalm missiles that disable Morpho's close combat electrified whip and destroyed its legs and railroad tracks, then when it's trying to do a suicide attack, Frederica distracted it long enough for Shin to put in a final shot.

It also has limitations that it require recipients to be conscious in order to establish connection, so if the recipient is sleeping or fell unconscious, you cannot yet at them to try wake them up. Since it's unjammable, and the prevalence of Legion's signal jamming, it's one of the only technological edge the Republic has.
