We know Nyx sold a few in the past—does not match her skin color, and also has to be slathered with salve for several days, and also there's medical-magical bugs crawling around underneath the new skin getting things hooked up. But the most horrifying example thus far is in the second book: Rhys not only loses his hands, but has to have them replaced with someone else's. They're ugly and stubby and not his.
