The firm (and the series) is named for the main character from Gilbert and Sullivan's light operetta The Sorcerer.The business of magic is a competitive, cut-throat one, even if your average man on the street is not aware of it. J.W. Wells & Co. have the best love potions in the business, but you need more than one product to remain viable in this business.
