Mostly happens to flat-chested characters suffering from A-Cup Angst, though women on the other side of the spectrum may have it happen as well. Due to the Buxom Beauty Standard, this is often played for Fanservice. Sometimes the actual growth tends to be as important as the final size of the breasts. It is also frequently played for comedy. An Overnight Age-Up for women usually guarantees this will happen. If the expansion is merely caused by puberty, there's a separate trope for that. If the expansion is done on a meta-level, see Adaptational Curves. An alternative is Fake Boobs. For the whole body expanding see Inflating Body Gag. Initially a parody of Spider-Man, the heroine was a put-upon nerdy schoolgirl with a very flat chest whose life changed forever when, on a visit to an underwear factory, she was bitten by a radioactive bra-strap. Later that night, the inevitable sequence occurs, as in the space of three frames her assets swell from bee-stings, to basketball-sized (bursting her school blouse open in the process), to about the size of three metres across and a triple-Z cup...EACH. Candy's nightmare has her going around stealing her friend's best traits, based on her feelings of inadequacy compared to her friends. Including Pacifica's behind. Grenda's strength. Wendy's face and Mabel's bust.
