The pizza-loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also once used pizza as a weapon. Leonardo and Michelangelo cast several pizzas after two kimono-stealing thieves. They partly succeed - they rescue all of the kimonos except one, master Splinter's. When Usagi Yojimbo is brought to their world, he defeats Raphael, Donatello and Leonardo (who are all using standard ninja weapons). Michelangelo beats Usagi by nailing him in the face with a pizza pie. Usagi asks what manner of fighting this is, and Splinter wryly goes, "I believe it is called, 'slapstick.'"

My Little Pony: My Little Pony 'n Friends: In "The Ice Cream Wars", the rival confectioners Rocky Ripple and Fudgy McSwaine fight each other with tank-like vehicles that shoot globs of ice cream and volleys of ice cream toppings. My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: Pies are preferred ammunition of settler ponies in Appleloosa. They are surprisingly effective against charging buffalo. Applejack can kick apples to use as projectiles. In "Secret of my Excess", Pinkie Pie tries to protect the bakery by throwing cakes at a rampaging aged-by-greed Spike. It isn't nearly as effective — the rampaging Spike just steals all of the cakes, leaving poor Pinkie Pie in a state of shell-shock as she looks at the ruined and empty bakery. |

When local theatre groups stage a play that involves black powder era firearms (like Treasure Island, for instance), the prop ammunition for reloads will often be made by wrapping smarties in rice paper. As real black powder is extremely finicky as well as unsafe, a mixture of flour and corn starch is often employed (dyed dark grey with food coloring) blown onto the stage by fans. It has the advantage of settling realistically on the actors' faces and clothes but spares the audience and the actors the stench of black powder as well as the safety hazards. This can also be used to stand in for ash. When staging comic plays, characters may fire gummies or even certain veggies as projectiles. Just about anything is three times funnier when candy is involved, especially a formal duel. Using celery or various kinds of onion like arrows is also common. This is done partly because actual ammunition can be rather pricey, partly as a safety measure (even a blank is potentially lethal), and partly as an artistic choice. |

SCP Foundation: SCP-261 once vended an item called Candy Bullets, during one of the many experiments undertaken to see just how weird it can get. In the package was a CZ-75 self-loading pistol which was loaded with rounds made of various candy flavours. A D-class shot in the foot with one round (somehow they function as ammo), in addition to what happens to one when they are shot, reported a pleasant minty taste for some time. The pistol itself was also ostensibly edible, but way too hard to chew. Tasted of tutti-frutti. It took the trope to the fullest of literalness by also once dispensing edible shotgun shells that not only functioned like real ammunition but when eaten were said to taste like chocolate and bananas. |

Peacekeeper pulse weapons in Farscape run on "chakan oil", which is made from the tannot root. The root itself is quite edible, though it tends to brainwash most races who eat it (except for Hynerians, and presumably others with a similar biochemistry, where it turns their body fluids explosive.) The chakan oil itself is apparently also edible, since Crichton and Aeryn are both shown licking their chakan oil cartridges to check the levels. Its nutritional value has never been revealed, though it can be assumed to be not much, since Moya's crew has routinely run short on foodstuffs, but always has plenty of ammo (then again, no one may have been brave enough to try and eat Aeryn's bullets).

In "Bunfight at the OK Tearooms", the final showdown is staged using ketchup squeeze bottles as guns. The Sponge Bob Movie Sponge Out Of Water: Burger-Beard uses a blunderbuss loaded with butter. At the beginning, Plankton and the Krusty Krab battle each other with, among other things, a potato-firing machine gun and a pickle-launching tank. Sandy in her superhero form shoves nuts in her mouth and spits them out like bullets. Parodied with Patrick/Mr. Superawesomeness and his ice cream powers. At first he uses them as a wave attack against Burger-Beard, and Spongebob/Invincibubble says that he should never have doubted Patrick's power, only for it to backfire and all the ice cream to hit Patrick. |

Team Fortress 2: The game has a number of food items, but only the Mad Milk is used as a projectile weapon. Basically it's a glass jar of milk thrown on the opponent, and a soaked opponent heals the attacker with all the damage they take. Sniper has a variant of his Jarate in the form of a rabid loaf of cancerous bread which can be thrown at people. Being hit by said bread loaf doesn't hurt, but it somehow causes the victim to take more damage from enemy attacks. The Festive Crusader's Crossbow reskin fires candy canes with a sharpened point. As anyone who has sucked on one can attest, they really can become exceptionally sharp, though their aerodynamics are probably not the best. |

The Bald Man threw spaghetti at Klaus in the Bad Beginning, one of the White-Faced Women threw bread at Violet, and the henchmen at the marketplace threw fish and other foods at Violet both which occurred in the Wide Window level. Two of Violet's weapons use food like the Fruit Flinger and the Peppermint Popper. The final sequence of the game involves Klaus needing to avoid melons that are shot out of canons at him. |

Star Wars Rebels In "Fighter Flight" because Ezra and Zeb have been fighting, Hera sends them on a Snipe Hunt to fetch her a meiloorun fruit. This backfires when Ezra tries to steal a crate of meiloorun fruit from an Imperial troop transport. When the stormtrooper's armor shrugs off his energy slingshot, he uses the contents of the crate to knock the troopers off their feet. In the following episode, Zed and Chopper have way too much fun chucking milk cartons at Ezra for his lightsaber training. Zeb eventually takes the entire crate and dumps it on top of Chopper, who is spinning up like a batting machine, hurling cartons until he knocks Ezra off the Ghost so he nearly falls to his death. |

M.U.G.E.N: The Dancing Banana shoots and throws giant bananas at his opponents, which can actually hurt quite a lot. Donald McDonald, as the fast food mascot he is, throws hamburgers as projectiles, explosives apples as traps, big French fries as fighting sticks and even he splits the enemy inside a big hamburger a la Dio's steamroller attack. SCP-999 can squeeze a packet of M&Ms to fire at the enemy or cause Necco Wafers to rain on the opponent. Unlike the other two examples, these moves actually heal the opponent, but increase a happiness bar above their head (which non-lethally KOs an opponent once it fills up). |

Godzilla (2014): The MUTOs feed on radiation and radioactive materials, so to them a nuke is more of a tasty snack than a legitimate threat. Theoretically, this should apply to Godzilla himself as well, though we see no signs that he absorbs radiation in the same way he did during the Heisei series. However as proved in the prologue set in 1954, nuking Godzilla doesn't seem to work. And probably just made him even stronger. |

A literal example in the first story of the Facing the Future Series when Jack makes his new Hyper-Destructive Bouncing Ball lime-flavored, which enables him to eat himself, Maddie, and Jazz out when they get trapped in it... getting a stomach ache in the process.

Terraria has the Candy Corn Rifle as a late-game weapon. The candy corn it fires can perforate enemies and ricochet, but they're affected by gravity; they also don't count as food items.

In the Bonkers video game for the Sega Genesis, Harry the Handbag and his Racoon Thieves are trying to steal five toon treasures note Snow White's apple, Aladdin's magic lamp, Mickey's wizard hat, Cinderella's glass slipper, and a set of golden Mickey Mouse ears from the museum. To stop them, Bonkers must throw donuts at them. The Racoon Thieves can also throw donuts back at him.

Energon in Transformers technically counts, if only because the robots use it as a power source. And currency.

Super Indie Karts has food items that racers can use to impede one another. For example: The watermelon item functions similarly to a green shell from from the Mario Kart series and the ice cream item cause players to spin out and slow down.

WKRP in Cincinnati had the Turkey Drop episode, where manager Arthur Carlson tried to feel more involved in the station's daily activities by setting up a turkey giveaway promotion at the Pinedale Shopping Mall. Thankfully, the carnage was implied via verbal depiction as Carlson's ignorance of certain facts about domestic turkeys had him deliver them by dropping the birds out of a helicopter from 2000 feet up. As the man said himself at the end of the fiasco, "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." Disturbingly, this has been tried in real life.

Super Smash Bros.: Super Smash Bros. Melee: One of Princess Peach's special attacks involves pulling a very large turnip out of the ground in reference to Super Mario Bros. 2 and throwing it at somebody. Daisy borrows this ability in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Green Greens stage has Whispy Woods dropping apples that can either heal or be used as a throwing item (which is also what he did in Kirby's Adventure in Kirby's fight against him). Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Trope Namer is from a Codec conversation between Snake and Otacon on Diddy Kong, the two get on the subject of Diddy's Peanut Popgun (which originated from Donkey Kong 64). Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: In addition to bringing back all characters who have employed edible ammunition in previous games, the game introduces Banjo and Kazooie via DLC; one of their abilities is shooting eggs like in their source games. |

Sev Trek: Pus in Boots is an Australian spoof of Star Trek: The Next Generation. One of the gags is having the Enterforaprize's saucer section used as a plate to hold food. This leads to a Visual Pun. "Fire crouton torpedoes!"
