When a pair (or more) of characters who are related to each other are given the Shipping treatment. Incest is a serious taboo among human beings—most cultures have an incest taboo.note While some definitions of incest may be relative (cousins count in some cultures but not in others), sex between siblings or between a parent and child is almost universally abhorrent. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, there is a significant amount of people interested in it, and this being the Internet, they can't wait to share their shipping theories with you. Even with the taboo, they might have an easier job than the Ho Yay Shippers, since normal family members are often so close to each other, both physically and emotionally, that with any other partner the same scenes could easily be interpreted as romantic and/or sexual. Just pick up any dialogue between relatives, ignore the intended meaning, and Ta-da! you have subtext. There's also a good chance that you have repelled, or otherwise alienated a good part of the fandom — but if the fandom is big enough, there's a chance you'll find like-minded company anyway. A not-insignificant portion of the fans for Doom is solely made up of those who ship the fraternal twins John "Reaper" Grimm and Dr. Samantha Grimm, a Brother–Sister Team who are the film's primary protagonists and serve as The Not-Love Interest to one another. Part of this is thanks to a combination of their actors (Karl Urban and Rosamund Pike) both being incredibly attractive and having shockingly good romantic & sexual chemistry together (with their mutual character arc of overcoming their estrangement following them having chosen different career paths being more akin to two embittered ex-spouses slowly coming back together). What helps is that there's also a case of Platonic Writing, Romantic Reading regarding their connection to each other, with virtually every scene between the two characters implying a more romantic connection than a familial one. Just a few examples include their immature bickering being similar to Belligerent Sexual Tension, John always physically pulling his sister out of danger by grabbing Sam by the upper chest/arm, and Sam injecting a mortally wounded John with a Super Serum to bring him back to life because she considers the thought of losing her sibling to be literally unthinkable. There's even a scene that likely reflects the audience's thoughts where after Sam is first introduced and it's shown that she shares John's last name, John's teammates ask how the hell he "let such a fine piece of ass walk away" and an exasperated John growls that she's his sister, not his ex-wife (despite virtually everything else in the film suggesting otherwise). Easily the biggest indicator of Ship Tease between the two can be seen in with the film's ending, which has a battered and bruised John gently carrying an injured Sam to safety in a Bridal Carry while she unconsciously nuzzles his neck affectionately. The whole scene is framed as if they were a Battle Couple who have decided for a Relationship Upgrade after surviving such a traumatic ordeal. It's pretty clear that the only reason why that scene was not followed by a Big Damn Kiss is because of the two characters being twins. |

And he is widely shipped with all four of the Pevensies. The first book implies they're the only humans that live in Narnia, without mentioning the fact that there are other lands around Narnia, in which other people reside. So it's either incest or bestiality — take your pick.
