This draft has been launched illegally with -8 net hats; please add any examples or comments to the draft and do not cross-wick. You find yourself a neutral party for two (or more) parties who are at each other's throats. You do not choose a side to pick because the entire reason why these parties are fighting is utterly ridiculous. And even if they have a valid reason to fight, you still do not choose a side because you are either a non-violent person or you just do not see any need for fighting. And you as the audience member can see some merit to that. Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })There can be sometimes where the neutral party end up trying to stop the feud rather than just not partake in it. Other times that neutral party can end up exacerbating the feud when trying to stop it. Can be compared to Both Sides Have a Point, see also Gray and Grey Morality. Contrasts to Stupid Neutral. An episode of iCarly involved Carly and Sam fighting over the sentimental value of a t-shirt Carly got for Sam and Freddy ends up making a poll over how this fight between them is completely silly.

An episode of King of the Hill had a subplot where Bill and Dale squabble over a can of beer that Dale discarded on Bill's lawn. While Bill is somewhat of the victim since Dale was being callous to his own littering, neither Hank or Boomhauer decide which one is in the right or wrong, especially since the whole fight is over something so ludicrous. It takes until near the end of the episode to realize they were wrong to fight about it.

In the Power Rangers Ninja Storm episode "Down and Dirty", Hunter and Blake get into a disagreement after Blake beats Hunter in a race. The other Rangers make it a point to not choose sides, instead urging the brothers to work it out between them. note Special thanks to Bluecarcinema for this example.

In the infamous The Loud House episode "Brawl in the Family," while Lincoln ends up escalating feuds, he is right about the reasons why his sisters are fighting is utterly ridiculous and that the Sister-Fight protocol is just a huge inconvenience for the family, even if they do not see it like that.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic dealt with this on a few occasions. One episode, the ponies tried to stop a war between some ponies and some buffalo who want to use a land for different purposes, citing that the violence will cause them to get hurt and that resolving this matter peacefully would be a better course of action, which proves true at the end. Of course, this was only necessary because Pinkie annoyed them into a rage when they were on the brink of resolving things peacefully on their own. On two separate occasions. Another episode had Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy try to stop a fight between two hillbilly earth ponies families, believing the whole thing to be ridiculous since they just want to win and do not even care how the fight started to begin with. |

In one episode of Galavant, the titular hero and his best frenemy Richard end up on opposite sides of a fight between self-proclaimed "giants" and "dwarves" over a bridge-construction project gone wrong. Third-party observer Roberta calls the whole affair out on its stupidity in dialogue and in song, citing the fact that both parties are made up of "very similar five-foot, ten-inch men." note Special thanks to potshotbeta for this example.

In the South Park episode, "Douche and Turd", Stan is completely against either voting for a Giant Douche or a Turd Sandwich as the new mascot of his school, which is not helped by his friends and family pressuring him. It culminates to a point where the citizens of South Park exile Stan for refusing to vote, which makes them even more unsympathetic because of caring about a ridiculous situation, so really, Stan has every right to not want to get involved in this election, at least until the people of PETA convince him that voting always involves having to choose between a douche and a turd.
