A Youkai from Japanese folklore that takes the form of an animate section of wall. It has the power to turn invisible, and likes to use this power to impede travelers. Interesting enough, its common depiction of being an animated wall is somewhat of a modern representation. Originally during the Edo period, one of its early depictions was that of a three-eyed grotesque vaguely dog-like creature. Over time, its depiction changed to a literal wall with limbs and very vague features. | |

He was adapted into Brick Bully in the third season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. One of the Yokai in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger was a nurikabe created from a railroad gate. Befitting of the mythical youkai's ability to block one from passing, he is a Barrier Warrior. He was adapted into Forcefear in Power Rangers Ninja Steel The giant form of Futagawara from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (Skarf for Power Rangers Samurai) possesses giant shields on his arms that turn him into a living wall like the nurikabe he's based on (the basis for In-Universe). |

In Kakinabe Supermarket, she asks a girl about it and sings a song which gives a clue about how to deal with the ghost. When she returns, she sees the ghost which looks like a wall with eyes and gets rid of Nurikabe by using the broom to dust off its feet. | |

It's basically a three-eyed segment of a fortress wall with canine features◊, where even the "stone" is solid clumps of fur (which Matsuri gets stuck in). It turns out it was just there to block an upcoming landslide from crushing a village. Its name is used for a pun where an accidental kabedon against it is dubbed a "nurikabedon". | |
