Lich King (Music) | comment |
Lich King is a Thrash Metal band from Massachusetts that was founded in 2004 by vocalist Tom Martin (who may have also played some or all of the instruments for the first two albums; the real identities of the musicians on those albums are not given). Lich King are heavily influenced by Exodus, Vio-Lence, and Slayer and are known for their humorous lyrics, Heavy Meta, and their very brash image and promotional techniques. The band finally found its feet in 2009-2010 with its third LP World Gone Dead, which featured a full band lineup and massively improved production. As of 2015, Tom Martin has officially left the band on a live basis, citing burnout and a need for a more stable source of income. He will most likely continue to work behind the scenes and may or may not also contribute to the songwriting process and provide vocals on the next studio release, but it's all up in the air.Current lineup: Tom Martin - Songwriting (stopped doing vocals full-time in 2015 and eventually gave it up completely) Zach Smith - Vocals Brian Westbrook - Drums Joe Nickerson - Rhythm guitar Mike Dreher - Bass Nick Timney - Lead guitarFormer members: Kevin Taylor - Guitars Erick Herrera - Guitars Rob Pellegri - Lead guitarAlbums: 2007 - Necromantic Maelstrom - "Lich King", "Mascot War" 2008 - Toxic Zombie Onslaught - "Attack of the Wrath of the War of the Death of the Strike of the Sword of the Blood of the Beast", "Black Metal Sucks" 2010 - World Gone Dead - "Act of War", "ED-209", "Behaver" 2012 - Born of the Bomb - "Combat Mosh", "Wage Slave", "We Came to Conquer" 2017 - The OmniclasmSee World of Warcraft if you were looking for the "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion.

Old Shame | |
Lich King (Music) / int_e6c88e42 | comment |
Old Shame: Tom (and the band as a whole, but especially Tom) hates Necromantic Maelstrom; while they did rerecord two songs off that album for Do-Over, they will not play anything from that album live ever again and would like to treat it as an embarrassing footnote. They're also not overly fond of Toxic Zombie Onslaught, but that has more to do with the production; they still play material off of it live and don't outright despise it like the former.
