Takanori Arisawa (April 2, 1951 – November 26, 2005) was an award-winning Japanese anime composer before his death by cancer at age 54. Self-taught, he wrote the soundtracks for many notable anime shows, especially for Toei Animation, but also for advertisements too and many Tokyo-based shows. He admired the Hollywood sound, particularly drawing inspiration from TV shows of The '70s.Arisawa's first award was the 1993 Golden Disk Grand Prize from Columbia Records. He also won the JASRAC International Award, meaning he has the most international royalties, largely due to Sailor Moon's worldwide popularity.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })The incredibly large collection of his Sailor Moon score can be found here.Rest in peace, Arisawa-san.
