Halcyon Days RPG is a text-based roleplaying game centered around the Bleach universe and given its own unique plot and characters, while excluding the canonized plotline and characters of the actual manga.It features four basic races to play as: the Shinigami (Soul Reapers), the Vizards (half-hollows, half-shinigami), the Quincy (archers given the ability to utilize the spirit energy of the world around them) and Advent Humans (humans that have gained an unusual amount of spirit energy for one reason or another). These four races are then split up into multiple factions for the roleplayer to select. These include the divisions of the Gotei Thirteen, the Vizards' Army of Masks, and Quincy families. Humans are divided between those attending high school at the Tokyo Nishi Kotougakkou, paramilitary working underground with the Orpheus Initiative, and the financially powerful research heads and subjects of the Cerberus Corporation.Upon being approved and accepted into HD, the player then uses their approved, unique character of their creation to write what they wish (within reason, of course). They can interact with other characters within the HD-verse, rise through the ranks of their faction/race, and even become involved in the over-arching plot of the whole affair.The RP follows a week-based time to keep track of writing. All writing in the RP is then graded by the designated faction head or a chosen member. These grades are then made into points which the player can then place in their character's stats to increase their abilities and allow them to grow in power.There are multiple extra activities within HD, including a Top Stats section that allows players to see how they stack up to others and an Achievements section for them to get small awards for doing certain things within the RP.Now has a character sheet, which needs a lot of love. | |

A good one: During Ye Olde Hueco Mundo Plot Missions, Eleventh Division Captain Yuzuki Masato and his Co-Third Seat Mabara Tsubaki engage Vizard Konane in battle, aided by the behemoth hollow Adramalech. Konane escapes into Adramalech's massive, crevice-ridden body. Masato plays the waiting game, but Tsubaki pursues the Vizard into Adramalech. Back from the Dead: One of the primary Big Bads Kuragari Seisatsu pulled this one so many times it became boring. Originally a Captain who 'died' during Masaru's Folly, he returned as a Vizard during the Mask Wars and fought on the losing side. While the Imperator of the Army of Masks centuries later, he was locked into a deadly battle with a Vasto Lorde — his herald, Anton Zhukov, assumed him dead and took over as Imperator. Bad idea because sure enough, Seisatsu came back years later and beat Zhukov for his impudence. He forced an alliance with the Espada, leading to Seisatsu getting killed again in a duel against the Soutaichou. Then he was revived again just a few minutes later in time to fight with Kenpachi Leon Simeon. It's a shame that this remarkable ability to not die didn't apply to any of the Vizards under his command. New Word of God also confirms that Seisatsu will not be getting better this time. | |
