The things that this woman went through. Oh, and in her teens, her mother died. She also lost her father to cancer. But still, this lady doesn't have a chip on her shoulder. If not for her respectable demeanour, relentless determination, and steadfast nature, Althea would definitely count as the Butt-Monkey of the series. Her upheavals and trials are seen as noble and worthy of admiration that it is mentioned as the root of her strength and fortitude. Notwithstanding her reasonable fears of abandonment, she's motivated in valuing her relationships.
