The EXA_PICOnote named after the lore's point of origin for the universe universe is an informal title applied to the series of games comprising the Ar tonelico trilogy and its prequel series, Surge Concerto.Developed by Gust of Atelier Series fame as the brainchild of the studio's sound team head Akira Tsuchiya, the series is known for its incredibly expansive Worldbuilding and in-series mythology, its indulgent use of Magitek, and its outstanding soundtrack involving singers with their own distinctive styles that give the series its own unique touch (seriously, just look at the openings for the Ar tonelico games courtesy of series regular Akiko Shikata). The main elements of its universe revolve around the usage of Song Magic, effectively Magic Music that allows a singer to use their emotions to manipulate the state of the universe around them via "Wave Theory", typically in one of the series' multiple functional Conlangs. The series' main themes tend to involve the nature of humanity, the reasons for conflict, and its relationship with the living nature around it.Other elements include item crafting with recipes that make no logical sense whatsoever, "Diving" (the ability to effectively provide therapy to a Song Magic singer by going through a visual-novel style representation of her emotions), and a significant degree of fanservice.A number of spinoffs in various forms of media including drama CDs, novels, and manga also exist, along with a very, very large amount of supplemental material.Ar tonelicoThe initial trilogy of the series, centering around the planet of Ar Ciel and its post-apocalyptic state after a disaster called the Grathnode Inferia caused the ground to be swallowed up by poisonous clouds. As a result, humanity survives off the ground around the "three towers of Ar tonelico", which power the use of Song Magic. Such magic is usually carried out by "Reyvateils", an all-female race of effectively Artificial Humans.Strictly speaking, the three games are all role playing games, though the exact specifics vary between them. They were jointly developed by Gust and Banpresto, prior to the latter's absorption into Bandai Namco Entertainment; all three were also localized into English by NISA. Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia (PS2): Centers around the region of Sol Ciel around the First Tower of Ar tonelico. A knight named Lyner Barsett is sent by the tower's administrator, Shurelia, to investigate an outbreak of creatures called Viruses. Along the way, he's accompanied by a number of friends including two Reyvateils: Aurica, a member of the Church with low self-esteem, and Misha, Lyner's Forgotten Childhood Friend. Lyner's investigation, meanwhile, seems to indicate that there may be more to the source behind the Viruses than meets the eye. This is the first game in the franchise and a fairly straightforward turn-based RPG. Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica (PS2): The region surrounding the Second Tower, Metafalss, falls to a Reyvateil-exclusive epidemic called I.P.D., which only worsens an ongoing conflict between two factions regarding the goddess Frelia and a failed attempt at creating a mythical paradise called Metafalica centuries past. Protagonist Croix Bartel is sent to protect the current Holy Maiden, Cloche, only to be thrown deep into the mystery about what happened during the failure centuries ago, the true nature of the faction war, and the true natures of Cloche and Croix's girlfriend, Luca. This game overhauls the battle system and divides it into two phases, "Attack" and "Defense", the former in which the party attacks as quickly as they can and the latter in which they defend the Reyvateils in the back charging up their Song Magic. Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel (PS3): In Sol Cluster, the region around the Third Tower, Reyvateils hold a firm grip on the human population by regularly culling their population and brainwashing them. A human named Aoto comes upon a mysterious Reyvateil named Saki with various inexplicable abilities on the run, and runs away with her for her safety. Befriending others along the way, including an equally mysterious Reyvateil named Finnel, they soon get involved with the history behind the Third Tower and potentially the fate of the entire planet of Ar Ciel. This game completely eschews the turn-based system in favor of an Action RPG, and is the first in the series to be in 3D.Surge ConcertoA prequel pair of games to the Ar tonelico trilogy, centering around the planet Ra Ciela and its fate. Although the two games follow some different rules regarding Song Magic from Ar tonelico, they follow under the same overarching Wave Theory and universe. These games were developed after Gust had merged with Koei Tecmo. As of this writing, Ciel nosurge has never been localized, while both versions of Ar nosurge have been localized by Koei Tecmo. Ciel nosurge (Vita): A Simulation Game revolving around a girl named Ion, who has amnesia and needs the player's assistance to recover her memories by Diving into her mind. Ion's memories involve her status as a princess and one of the two candidates to become Empress, and must live among the people for three years as a trial before she can be chosen. The reason for the importance of the Empress succession is that the planet Ra Ciela is, for some reason, doomed. The game was originally released as a heavily online-based game before it received an Updated Re-release titled Ciel nosurge Offline. Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star (PS3/Vita): Thousands of years later, a colony of people on the starship Soreil struggle against the hostile Sharls, and the population is split between two factions that support or defend themselves against them. Among the latter group is the amnesiac Delta Lantonoil and his Song Magic-using childhood friend Casty "Cass" Rianoit, and their fate - along with the fates of everyone on Soreil - quickly becomes intertwined with the appearance of Ion and her robot companion Earthes. Originally released on the PS3, it was eventually ported to the Vita under the name Ar nosurge Plus. The game largely resembles an Ar tonelico game, with a hybrid turn-based/action-based battle system somewhat similar to Ar tonelico II's, but changes things up in a few ways such as having the functional "party" be restricted to four characters in two pairs which the player can swap between.

Does This Remind You of Anything?: Diving, Installing and most other interactions between the main characters and their harem of Reyvateils are played up as intimate affairs without the physical intimacy. The Diquility installation can only be called "a PG-13 cherry popping sequence." There is a doujinshi that makes this reference in reverse context.

All There in the Manual: Much of the history of the world of Ar Ciel (and the greater Multiverse, Exa Pico) is explained in supplemental material that is only available in Japanese. Luckily, most of it has been fantranslated, and the pieces of material that haven't are still in process of getting a translation, all of which are available at the Wikia site for the universe. Also, a Genius Bonus as a lot of the technology in the series is blatantly based off computers.

The second game subverts it to hell and back: initially it seems that Croix's girlfriend Luca is the Betty while the proud and haughty Cloche is the Veronica, but as more about the girls' true natures are revealed it turns out that the distrusting and manipulative Luca is the Veronica while the well-intentioned but insecure Cloche is the Betty. The third Reyvateil is Jacqli, also known as Mir, who makes a Heel–Face Turn from an Anti-Villain halfway through the game and has her own Cosmosphere and ending. The game also has a fourth option in the form of Cocona if Croix fails to get with any of the girls, and, unusually, unlike the other Tower Origins, Frelia isn't romanceable because it's implied her heart belongs to Shun, and her Binary Field is really just there for fun.

Bilingual Bonus: Having some knowledge of Hymmnos makes the Hymns that much better and show how they fit in the story, even hinting at things that haven't been revealed yet. Alternately, finding the lyrics online works just as well. In a particularly nifty piece of foreshadowing that hints at a character's motives in Metafalica, the hymn EXEC_HARMONIUS/. from the first game has the word Metafalica in it repeatedly. In this instance and, so far, only in this instance, Metafalica means 'Song of Hope.' Given what Jakuri hopes to accomplish in the second game... Let's just say that the writers thought ahead.

Limited Wardrobe: Reyvateils get costume changes, but, except for Croix out of Metafalica, who has a civilian set of clothes (with glasses), none of the other front-liners ever change clothes. While characters like Krusche or Amarie might get away with it, due to their "armor" essentially being bulletproof clothes, Leglius in particular is never seen outside of his full plate armor, which practically looks like its breastplate was made by welding the bow of a battleship to his chest.

Older Than They Look: Misha at least in the beginning because she de-aged herself when her D-Cellophane was extracted. Pureblooded Reyvateils such as the Origins and Beta types age only till they get hot. Then they don't age at all for the rest of their lives. The Beta Types can live for approximately 150 years, while the Reyvateil Origins are biologically immortal for as long as their Towers exists. When Shurelia is self-proclaiming herself as 16-years old, she certainly looks and acts like her proclaimed age. Incarnates such as Sarly and Cass stop aging as soon as they're Incarnated, which does cause the two of them some frustration as the former looks like a child or preteen and the latter looks like a teenager (they're both around 21). Similarly, since Sharls don't age, Nay is far older than she looks (and in fact is older than Delta).

Magic from Technology: Reyvateil songs are referred to as magic, but it's actually tapping into the shared power source of the local tower and forming it based on commands in Hymmnos. Channeling this kind of energy is not something the human body is built for, so Reyvateil/human hybrids (as in, basically majority of the Reyvateils) tend to have very short lives even with life-extending drugs.

Ar Ciel was covered in the Sea of Death 700 years ago due to the Grathnote Inferia that had occurred at the end of the First Era, rendering the planet itself uninhabitable ever since, leaving the three Towers as the only habitable place in the planet. Blessed with Suck

Blessed with Suck: Third Generation Reyvateils get nifty song magic and all, but after coming into their powers, they have to take a substance called Diquility every three months just to continue living. This stuff is expensive (unless if you live in Metafalss, where they are given for free) and the Installation is equivalent to a first time. Moreover, the stress of maintaining Reyvateil functions in an effective human body means that they likely won't be able to live longer than 20 years anyway. IPD Reyvateils are Third Generation Reyvateils mapped to the Infel Phira server instead of the standard Ar tonelico one, which gives them access to a more efficient and powerful dialect of Hymmnos and connects them to each other on the deeper levels of their subconscious, allowing them to use said collective power to do things like a Combined Energy Attack and even create entire continents that are far beyond the scope of a normal server. Unfortunately, it also means that they become susceptible to things that damage said collective consciousness, such as sensing too much negativity from the Hive Queen making them unable to cooperate enough to use their powers, or damage to the server causing mass outbreaks of sudden violent behavior. The Pureblooded Reyvateils (such as Betas and the Origins) initially seem to avert this, as they get stronger song magic and very extended lifespans (Betas have about 150 years and the Origins are over 700 years old each, implied to be immortal for as long as their tower exist). But it does have one major drawback — while a Third Generation Reyvateil is effectively an empowered human who would simply be Brought Down to Normal if they were to step out of the range of the Tower, Pureblooded Reyvateils are made purely of biofluid that retains a human form via connection to the server, and leaving the range of the Tower would cause them to meet a very untimely end. Notably, this is why Cocona ends up having to carry the Heart of Gaea to Sol Cluster at Jacqli's request; Cocona certainly has her fair share of bumps along the way as a foreign Reyvateil, but she manages the journey and even gets to use Hymmnos again once Sasha sets up a relay satellite, whereas Jacqli, despite being far more powerful and capable, would have never been able to do it herself no matter how much she wanted to because Sol Cluster being so far from the First Tower would have meant that she'd quickly end up turning into a puddle. Origins are blessed with being practically immortal for as long as the Tower exists, but Shurelia's HD-Cellophane forces her to have a "static" personality that can never change or develop. On top of that, being centuries old means that she has a number of incomplete operations that can't be repaired because all the technology was lost in the war hundreds of years ago. Tyria has it especially bad; in addition to the above, her ostensibly "better" Nuclear Triangular Loop does have a limited lifespan, and because it works off Cast from Lifespan instead of a set time limit, she could drop dead at any moment (she ends Qoga with the knowledge she probably doesn't have much time left). Moreover, the fact she is the Tower means that her initial failed transformation trapped her without a physical existence for quite a while. A supplementary novel gives her a better fate, although it explicitly requires quite a hell of a lot of work to save her and ultimately ends in the collapse of the Tower. Frelia ends up the only one without any real raw deal to her status as an Origin, as she can actually have both a developing personality and proper immortality. In contrast, Song Magic users in Surge Concerto have much less of a raw deal, as REON can be used by any ordinary person in conjunction with the TxBIOS, and (some government-imposed restrictions aside) is freely accessible as an effective public service. Much more powerful magic can be used by the Genoms, or by a human synchronizing with a Genom, which doesn't come with a particularly huge drawback compared to those the Reyvateils have to deal with. Sarly and Casty eventually become artificially turned into Incarnates, meaning they can use Song Magic without a Genom, and actually get to have a longer lifespan while they're at it too (with only some mild annoyance at being permanently stuck in the body of a child or teenager). Granted, it's established that very few survive the process in the first place, but compared to the above examples...

Non-Singing Voice: Each Song Magic user has an assigned "Star Singer" who sings all of her significant plot-related songs, while a voice actress does all her dialogue. This is justified both in-universe and out; in-universe, at least in the Ar tonelico series for Reyvateils, the Tower is what actually processes the songs and it stands to reason that the songs may not necessarily reflect what their actual vocal cords produce, while as far as production is concerned the real-life singers used in the franchise have distinctive signature styles that form the crux of the series' soundtrack itself (Akiko Shikata in particular composes her own songs). Within the games, whenever characters aren't singing with to any major degree (singing to themselves, Ar nosurge's synthesis songs, etc.), it's usually the voice actor instead. Surge Concerto is an interesting variation in that Cass's Star Singer, Yoshino Nanjo, is both a singer and a voice actress (and in fact had voiced Krusche in the first game), but Cass's speaking voice is a different voice actress (Inori Minase).

The insertion of "Diquility," a substance in the form of a large crystal that must be inserted into a Third Generation Reyvateil every three months through a place called their "Installer Port". Croix must do this twice during the story (Lyner can do it once if he goes on Aurica's path), and it's always Their First Time. Aoto gets it the worst - none of the ally Reyvateils are Third Gen, but he does have to uninstall an item from a heroine, with similar results.

In the first game, self-effacing and sweet Aurica is the Betty while cynical Misha is the Veronica; the third one is Shurelia, who is introduced at the beginning of the game but only properly joins the party halfway through. In a case of Early-Installment Weirdness doesn't get her own endings (instead having two "endings" as alternate versions of Misha's and Aurica's where Lyner decides to ditch his new girlfriend for her).

Fantastic Racism

comment
Fantastic Racism: In Elemia, Reyvateils are often treated as second class citizens, to the extent that Lyner is depicted as standing out for treating them like he would any normal human. Justified in the first game, since aside from the portion of Tenba that Bourd is running, most of the racism is aimed at Reyvateils without a partner, such as Claire. This makes sense, seeing as Reyvateils on the Wings of Horus had destroyed a good half of a continent when Mir rebelled. Averted in the city of Platina. When The Church Attacks you can see how the knights fight without backup to give their Reyvateil partners time to rest and recover. Hilariously, the Church Knights that they were fighting act more like Tenba grunts than anything else. Lyner defying this trope in regards to viruses, like Ayatane is pre-condition for the good ending. Reversed in the third Ar tonelico game, where Reyvateils from Clustania see humans as "impure" and do their best to Cleanse (wipe out) or Purify (brainwash) them. It helps that the main computer was hacked and had her personality changed into a genocidal maniac. The straight version is present in Raphael who thinks like Bourd. In Ciel nosurge, Revelt hates the Genom and pushes the Cielnotron's use in hopes they will die out. It gets worse when humans start wrongly believing that the Genom caused the world-ending earthquakes when it was really Revelt's fault. In Ar Nosurge, the humans and Sharl have misguided ideas about each other.

Lost Technology: Since the stories of Ar tonelico takes place After the End, the Towers and their administrators are essentially relics from the First Era. And the plot of the series themselves of leads to the rediscovery of these technologies, culminating in the revival of the planet itself. Invoked in the second game with Infel intentionally sealing off any knowledge regarding to the Infel Phira, the Song Server that has the vital role in the creation of Metafalica, to avoid the knowledge about the Replakia and Messela Mode which won her the war against the Goddess from getting leaked out. This doesn't stop the technology itself from being rediscovered by Alfman and Cloche getting the administrative privilege over the Infel Phira, since Infel reluctantly gave her a chance and granted said privilege while her own mind was uploaded into the Infel Phira itself.

Conlang: Hymmnos. There are even different vocabulary words depending on region, and vastly different grammatical structures for Central Standard Note/Metafalss Note and New Testament of Pastalie Hymmnos. Yes, half of that page is dedicated to being a dictionary. A lot of thought was put into making the language. The third game also gives us Ar Ciela, while Surge Concerto gives us Emotional Song Pact and REON-4213.

Action Commands: The second game has you guarding Reyvateils by timing button presses with enemy attacks. Correct timing boosts defense significantly, to the point of taking zero damage from all but the strongest attacks when you guard perfectly, and also making you impossible to knock out. Ar Nosurge have the same guard commands, but you can only defend three times when the enemies may attack more often than that. You do have more leeway for the timing however.

Betty and Veronica: The Ar tonelico games generally feature a Reyvateil pair of these as the protagonist's selectable love interest, with a Third-Option Love Interest appearing halfway through: In the first game, self-effacing and sweet Aurica is the Betty while cynical Misha is the Veronica; the third one is Shurelia, who is introduced at the beginning of the game but only properly joins the party halfway through. In a case of Early-Installment Weirdness doesn't get her own endings (instead having two "endings" as alternate versions of Misha's and Aurica's where Lyner decides to ditch his new girlfriend for her). The third game plays it entirely straight with The Ingenue Saki and Tsundere Finnel; the third Reyvateil, Tyria, is awakened halfway into the game and joins the party thereafter. Like with Jacqli, she also gets her own Cosmosphere and ending. Also like in the second game, Cocona is the fourth girl who steps up if Aoto fails to romance any of the other three. Surge Concerto averts this, as its main heroine is very clearly Ion, and while in Ar nosurge Ion and Casty could be said to have the personality archetypes comparable to Betty and Veronica, there is no Love Triangle and their partners are quite clearly Earthes (the player) and Delta respectively. However, the game does toy with the idea briefly when the player's increased takeover of Delta's actions can optionally manifest in Delta flirting with Casty harder, and near the end the game also parodies the first Ar tonelico's Last Minute Hook Up endings by having Shurelia abruptly ask Delta to leave the others and stay with her, just as she did in that game...except this time it's a bad ending, because everyone else immediately reacts with shock and horror from him ditching his long-time girlfriend and planet-saving duties just to stay with some new girl he just met.

Word Purée Title: The original trilogy's Japanese titles consisted of the franchise name, game number, and a rather long subtitle giving a brief overview of what the game was about, but NISA chose to name them "Melody of Elemia", "Melody of Metafalica", and "Knell of Ar Ciel", even changing III's number to "Qoga" hoping it would deter people from thinking the first and second games were required. Conversely, this just ended up making the games look even more unapproachable, because by the time you got to the third game the only standard English word the average person would recognize would be "of". By the time Ar nosurge rolled around, Koei Tecmo more wisely chose to use a shortened translation of the Japanese title instead.

Fix Fic: Done in-game in Shurelia's Cosmosphere story at the request of Lyner, who Justifies it by (what else) "the original sucks!" Mir takes this very personally but then again she did infect the scenario in the first place because Lyner was 'playing next to her prison'. The second game features two pair of hymns that integrates the legends of Rhaplanca, with the EXEC part hold the first half (with a Downer Ending as a standalone), while the METHOD part holding the second part of the legend with an Earn Your Happy Ending conclusion. The completion of all cosmosphere levels could be referred to as this. Cosmosphere levels, especially the lower ones, represent a Reyvateil's issues, where they act out inner conflicts and have not been able to resolve them. The job of a Cosmosphere diver is essentially to act as a Self-Insert Fic Marty Stu character, breaking the Reyvateil out of a hopeless cycle and encouraging them to reach a good ending.

Third Generation Reyvateils get nifty song magic and all, but after coming into their powers, they have to take a substance called Diquility every three months just to continue living. This stuff is expensive (unless if you live in Metafalss, where they are given for free) and the Installation is equivalent to a first time. Moreover, the stress of maintaining Reyvateil functions in an effective human body means that they likely won't be able to live longer than 20 years anyway.

It nearly happened several times throughout the trilogy as well. Between the repeat of the tragedies mentioned above* Ayatane nearly managed to destroy the Plasma Bell during the story. Additionally, keeping Shurelia asleep in normal ends would've rendered the entirety of the Rim to fall apart, killing off a large amount of Metafalssians living there, if Mir was not freed, the Heart of Gaea wouldn't have reached the third tower (at least not in time), thus dooming the entire planet. The second game had Frelia running out of power to maintain the Rim, forcing her to periodically drop parts of it, on top of two assimilation plots. The third game also has the Human Evolution Project, which would transform everyone* who has the Active Reyvateil genes disseminated by Archia several centuries ago, effectively turning all of their descendants into demi-Reyvateilic Medleys in Sol Cluster into grotesque human-Antibody slaves at the expense of killing the Reyvateils there.

More Friends, More Benefits: Played with, While Lyner could reach the deepest Cosmosphere level with all three heroines in the first game, the subsequent games averts this by limiting the access of the girls's Cosmospheres which the hero didn't have the Relationship Upgrade with, especially in the second game where the cutoff is at Level 5 out of 9, for a very good reason. Conversely, Ar Nosurge has both Cass and Ion chaining with their friends throughout the game – Delta himself was chained with Zill before the events of the game, which is required to resolve a Broken Bridge – but Genometrics chaining is much less romantically loaded than deep Cosmosphere levels, and in the end the game makes it absolutely clear that Casty and Delta only have feelings for each other, and ditto for Ion and Earthes.

The End of the World as We Know It
 EXA_PICO (Video Game) / int_d71d51fd

The End of the World as We Know It: The franchise has several of this in spades. Ar Ciel was covered in the Sea of Death 700 years ago due to the Grathnote Inferia that had occurred at the end of the First Era, rendering the planet itself uninhabitable ever since, leaving the three Towers as the only habitable place in the planet. And it didn't only end there, as the planet itself would've died by the end of the third game in the non-true ends, taking all the life in Ar Ciel with it. Sol Ciel had the Right Wing of Horus (the floating continent near the First Tower of Ar tonelico) fell apart during the Reyvateil rebellion instigated by Mir, destroying the old capital of El Elemia in the process. Likewise, in Metafalss, a significant part of the Rim (the drafter plate at the Second Tower of Ar tonelico) was dropped when Metafalica first failed in 3313 AD, and afterward it had a smaller collapse when the First Tower was suspended during the course of the first game. This had nearly happened in one of the side stories, as Crew Atha had attempted to revive another Neo-Pureblooded Beta Reyvateil called Midir with rather questionable means (with Claire as the Unwitting Pawn), causing Midir to be filled with negative emotions and nearly destroyed the world with EXEC_NULLASCENSION once she awakens. This had happened to Ra Ciela as well, as the planet itself had survived five world-ending disasters alongside the Genoms, only to be sacrificed by the humans that had migrated to the planet five millennia ago as the energy source for a last-ditch migration to save the people from the doomed planet. And it was in vain due to the migration itself was foiled by Nero as she attempted to take over Ion in a desperate attempt to carve her way back to her home dimension.

The Magic Goes Away: The temporal shutdown of Ar Tonelico in the first game has severe implications for the next one's plot: Namely, Metafalss, the Floating Continent which also doubles as the setting of the second Ar tonelico game, requires Song Magic to stay afloat, and shutting down Ar Tonelico forces Frelia to draw from her own reserves, which was why she was so powerless in the second game, despite being an Origin.

Translation Convention: According to the creators, neither English or Japanese exist in Ar Ciel, and instead, everyone communicates through a common language called "Shell". This doesn't stop them from utilizing Russian language in Kanon's songs in Ar Nosurge as a representation of differing viewpoint between the humans and Sharls.

Rousseau Was Right: With perhaps one exception per game, everyone in the franchise is doing what they feel is best for the betterment of mankind (and Reyvateil-kind). On top of that, the final boss of each game performs a Heel–Face Turn, if they weren't doing what they felt was best in the first place.

Powers as Programs: The various Hymn Crystals grant songs to those who use them. The Hymns (the song sung) vary depending on the singer, but the effects does not. REON-4213 brings the analogy much closer than before considering that it uses syntax reminiscent of actual programming code (carets, ->, semicolons).

In fact, there's so much Innocent Innuendo that you can't really blame Lyner for being a literal Accidental Pervert. He always reacts like how you would expect a normal person to react, so the girls assume he's thinking something dirty... correctly. Seriously, it's one gigantic scene of nothing but innuendo. It MUST be seen to be believed. Or heard. If you listen to the audio without looking at the video, you will feel like some sort of voyeur.

Love Makes You Crazy: Most Reyvateils tend to express this in one way or another in their Cosmosphere from Level 5 and beyond, as most of the Diving partners that could be trusted to access those Cosmosphere levels are very likely to be their lovers. That, and they are much closer to the Reyvateil's subconscious self, meaning they're a lot less restrained in expressing their emotions and...ahem..."desires" to the Diver.

Go-Karting with Bowser: Happens in Elemia, but you don't quite become aware of it until Metafalica. By Jakuri's own admission, the "Mir" inside Shurelia's corny Magical Girl love story was not an avatar, but rather the real one playing along with the game, which she herself had scripted. So, at the time Lyner was trekking through the tower to find a way to save ominous and terrifying Mother Virus Mir, Mir herself was content playing a video game with Shurelia. Bizarrely, it makes some sense in hindsight, as the two were friends and, most of her nefarious plots having failed completely, she wasn't doing anything at the moment. To top it off, the only remaining bit of bad blood Jakuri has against Lyner is completely unrelated to him stopping her century-long plans: She's angry about him rewriting the ending to her game.

comment
