Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })...Don't you think taking the endoskeletons was enough?! ...Oh wait, oh shit......Uh, hey! So, you're the new night guard here at Doug and Rachel's, eh? Oh, uh, don't worry about what I was talking about before. I was just talking to... somebody else. Picked up your call at the wrong time, y'know? Anyway, welcome to Doug and Rachel's. Huh? No, we aren't related to Freddy Fazbear's down the street. Seriously, we don't even like them; they gave our animatronics a bad name with their incident a few days ago. Regardless, your job here is to, well, guard the building, and make sure nobody sneaks in. It's an easy job, really; we've got a super-accurate tablet for you to check, and cameras in every room in the building.Uh, there's just one small problem. Our, um, amazing animatronics have a few glitches in their software. At night, they like to wander around the building and, y'know, perform and stuff. It's nothing dangerous, just... don't let them find you. They might glitch out, and that wouldn't be good for anybody, right? We've got some remote-control doors for you to activate in case they get near your room, so be sure to use them, 'kay? Oh, but you can only use one at a time, so if two of them get near your doors, then try to hide under your desk. Doing that saved my li- erm, job once, so I'd highly recommend it. Just, uh, keep in mind that hiding under the desk won't fool some animatronics, so do it only when absolutely necessary.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); })Oh, and that thing in the back room of your office? No, it's not a coffin. It's, uh, something else. Look, just keep the curtains in front of it closed, and everything will be fine. Remember to wear a smile! Those Nights at Rachel's is a Five Nights at Freddy's fan-game that was inspired by the cancelled fan-game Those Nights at Fredbear's, and was made by a Game Jolt user named Nikson (who also made The Joy of Creation: Reborn). Unlike a lot of the Five Nights at Freddy's fan-games, this one was made in 3D (as opposed to 2D that emulates 3D) and features partial free roam. It can be found on its Game Jolt page here. On March 10, 2016, Nikson revealed that he's planning on making a sequel, the page for which can be found here. The game, Those Nights at Rachel's 2: Reloaded, was released on 2018 April Fools' Day...Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_3'); })...and turned out to be a joke game. Sorry, folks.

Perverse Puppet: The Thing, the animatronic that lurks within the coffin in the back room, is essentially Nightmarionne on steroids.

The Bad Guy Wins: Possibly. After beating Night Five, you get promoted. Seems fine and dandy, but the Night 5 message implies that you're being Kicked Upstairs for knowing too much, and you'll become a scapegoat.

Downer Ending: The player gets promoted to the manager position, which leaves him at the mercy of the Phone Guy if he decides to blame him should anything happens at Rachel's. Not to mention he develops a fear of the animatronics, which is implied to be lifelong.

Hard Mode Perks: Playing the game on Hard Mode allows you to see The Thing within the Extras Menu. Oddly, you don't have to beat the game on Hard Mode; you can beat the game on normal mode, then just switch to Hard Mode.

Nothing Is Scarier: As with Five Nights at Freddy's, one security cam view is permanently disabled, forcing you to listen instead of look for animatronics. This time, it's the bathroom instead of the kitchen.

Expy: All the characters in-game behave similarly to a character from the Five Nights at Freddy's games: Rachel and Doug act like Bonnie from the first game, attacking through the left door with no notable gimmicks. Pete and Bane act like Chica from the first game, attacking through the right door with no notable gimmicks. Ray acts like Foxy from the first game, waiting behind an out-of-the way area and rushing you if you don't pay enough attention to him. Shadow Rachel acts like Shadow Bonnie from the second game, randomly appearing in your office and possibly crashing the game. Finally, The Thing acts like the Puppet from the second game, requiring you to pay attention to it from time to time lest it unavoidably jump you. Makes sense, considering that The Thing resembles a demonic Puppet.
