After her grandfather passes away, she inherits his mansion, which her father decides to move her into right away. Upon arrival, she encounters five unconscious men — actually incubi — who have broken into her house to seek shelter from a group of devils. In a much less dire sense, it's also possible to be rejected by the incubus you were trying to romance. The second game has many more chances to get a bad ending, and the results are much more brutal. James: He will accept his place as the Demon Lord and be separated from the MC forever in an act of I Want My Beloved to Be Happy. Prior to this, your encounter with the angels can end very badly—you could either be completely wiped from existence or be brainwashed into forgetting James ever existed. Erik: In the final battle, he can be cut down by the Demon King. Earlier, during your mental struggle with the unknown spirit, she can potentially decide to take you out with her, leaving your body soulless and unresponsive—much to Erik's heartbreak. Sam: Your nightmare from the beginning can come true, and you and Sam will be killed together by the Demon Lord. Your meeting with the dragon may end with it burning you alive. Matthew: He could succumb to his parents' brainwashing and kill both his brothers and the MC. Earlier, if you fail to snap him out of his episode, he'll also snap your neck and kill you. Damien: The Demon Lord can kill you in the final battle right in front of Damien, and subject him to an eternity of torture afterwards. You can also die earlier in a situation similar to Erik's. Diana: Saero can lose his mind with jealousy and heartbreak, and brainwash Diana to be by his side. | |

Pet the Dog: Diana's relationship with the player in the sequel is understandably tense due to how they left each other in the first game, coupled with Diana being much more prickly and no-nonsense thanks to her time leading the rebellion. That said, she does have tender moments with the player character, often making sure she's okay and defending her from harm—when the player abruptly arrives confused and terrified, Diana gently assures her that she's safe. The second the player shows fear of Erik (due to the spirit controlling her emotions), Diana doesn't hesitate to stand between the two of them. | |
