Simon Edward Minter (born 7 September 1992) is an English YouTuber and Internet personality who is known as Miniminter. Also known by his second channel and PlayStation Network name, MM7Games, his Xbox Live gamertag, Real Nimrod, or his Steam username, Stimpy, he is known for his FIFA videos and for being The Announcer of Grand Theft Auto Online events when he plays the game with his group, the Sidemen.He is arguably the group's most competitive member, screaming something (usually "Yes!" or "No!") when something does or does not go his way. Although he's not the most popular Sideman (numbers-wise), Simon is seen as the biggest Ensemble Dark Horse out of the group, having a very strong following within the fanbase.Simon has known the group's most famous member, KSI, well before the formation of the Sidemen. However, he started his main channel in February 2008, two months before KSI made his first channel, so Simon actually has the longest YouTube career out of the Sidemen, even though it took him about six years to attain one million subscribers. Today, Simon is now the third-most subscribed member of the group, behind KSI and wroetoshaw. | |

Troperiffic / Deconstructive Parody: His guide on making slasher movies, made as a Halloween 2014 special, was a thorough rundown of overused clichés found in the genre.All tropes covered We start with a group of characters. Simon notes that the Black Dude Dies First, commenting that he doesn't like how often the trope is used in horror films. Next, he states that the main character is usually a Brainless Beauty that doubles as Ms. Fanservice. She serves as an Idiot Hero that must consistently fail to question or at the very least see obvious clues. The group of characters agrees to split up (allowing them to die one by one), and in some cases one person inadvertently goes with the killer. There's a buildup of epic orchestral music that builds up to a climax that is sometimes incredible but more often than not fails to deliver because of how the music leads people to predict. Ultimately, the cheerleader will be the Final Girl fending for her life against the killer, and in the ensuing Chase Scene, she will inevitably trip and fall (maybe over nothing, to be especially heinous) just so the killer can keep up with them with their slow pace. This is the moment when the girl essentially becomes Too Dumb to Live, failing to take possible escape routes. When the girl gets cornered by the killer, there will be a brief confrontation by her to the killer, who will give a motive such as "You Killed My Father!" This confrontation will take up enough time so that a character from before reveals themselves to be Not Quite Dead or simply Back from the Dead (because Death Is Cheap, perhaps) in a marvelous Deus ex Machina and kills the killer. The girl and the character that saved her then leave happy, despite everyone else being dead. Simon then adds a footnote for Found Footage Films and states that it is a Dead Horse Trope, only to get thrown into one himself as he and Vik try to escape from JJ, who has just killed Tobi. Vik tries pulling an I Will Only Slow You Down on Simon even though the door to freedom is right in front of them, and Simon ultimately just leaves Vik for JJ. | |

Running Gag: Simon modeled his SFG Soccer team after his fellow Sidemen. Sometimes he'll interact with the Sidemen namesakes in correlation to the gameplay (if a player is exceptionally good or bad) with calls or visits (if that Sideman is in the Sidemen House). In GTA, he finishes a victorious airborne deathmatch by leaping off the platforms and falling to the ground. When playing Trivial Pursuit Live! with the Sidemen, he has three: He will always say "Dinosaurs!" whenever the history category is selected (since it has a dinosaur skull on it, placed over a picture of the Colosseum). He'll always tend to pick "arts and lit" when the category is available, and gets really upset when another category is chosen over it. Whenever the entertainment category is selected, Simon will automatically begin wishing aloud for a question about The Simpsons. In his Until Dawn playthrough, he has two: Referring the Flamethrower Guy as Ethan. Forcing Chris to do bad deeds. Simon often claims to be half-Canadian, as a result of owning a Canadian passport. In games that involve associating with a country (such as London 2012 and Rocket League skins), he always chooses Canada. In Simon's Reacting to Sidemen Vines series, every episode must, must begin with a reaction to the "Sidemen Rap/Song" before the actual Vine compilation. He even did this in the seventh episode, which he did alone (as he had done one with every other Sideman to that point). | |
