Foreshadowing: One of the first questions on the blog is about what it's like living with Flowey. Frisk responds with "I think there's more of Asriel in him than he pretends there is." As it turns out, they're not wrong. In Gaster's flashback, his wife Hermann at one point says "Tra la la," the Verbal Tic of the River Person. Asriel's soul can be spotted inside of Chara's in a select few panels if you look closely. Maverick also drops a hint related to his soul as well with his flash drive. There were a surprising amount of clues that Callallied is actually Chara; it's just that few, if anyone, thought of the possibility and put the clues together until after The Reveal. Callallied's submission details a backstory that matches Chara's exactly, and describes how they want to get close to Frisk to prove that humanity is bad; they are apprehensive when they realize Maverick is nearby; Chara dug up a body and knitted clothes; and more. Word of God and later on in the comic proper, Alphys discuss something called the "Metamorphosis Theory" where Humans become Monsters by possessing then later bonding to objects, similar to ghost monsters like Mettaton in Undertale canon. Guess what ultimately happens to Chara. | |

This is especially egregious on Toriel (one of their attempted victims) and Asriel's part, as the justification basically comes down to "It's unfair to hold them responsible for all the bad things they've done but not hold Asriel responsible for everything he did while he was Flowey," despite the fact that their respective situations are in no way comparable. | |

The Chosen One referred to in the prophecy is called "an angel" and "they". Gerson suspects that the wizards meant "a good person whose gender doesn't matter", but the prophecy took it as "an innocent child who would be properly referred to by the pronoun 'they'", which is why all the potential Chosen Ones were non-binary young children. | |
