On June 1st, 2019, Season 2 were released on Kakao Page under the title King's Maker: Triple Crown in South Korea, and on January 13th, 2020, was finally released in English on Tappytoon, where it updates weekly on Tuesdays. Season 1 only had one Fanservice sequence to speak of, and it didn’t go any further than Wolfgang necking Soohyuk (probably for the best, too, since they were both roughly fourteen and on a tight schedule, to say the least.) Season 2, on the other hand, has a fairly racy scene in the first episode, and is relatively more generous with fanservice overall. However, this doesn't mean that it's been skimping out on plot by any means. Somewhat justified by the fact that both characters spent their adolescence in an environment where acting on their feelings in any capacity would have meant certain doom, and are thankfully of age in Season 2. Played straight and taken up to eleven in the mature release of Season 2. Scenes are redrawn with Soohyuk and/or Wolfgang wearing far less clothing whenever they're intimate with one another, and the two have an explicit sex scene that wasn't in the original release. | |

Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: A few times, as a matter of fact: Wolfgang is dead set on ripping the King's throat out from day one, but of course, there's no way a 13-year-old boy is going to be able to overpower a grown man, especially with no allies or advanced stealth skills. He ends up having to spend years training in any and every field that would help him build upon his strengths or gain more supporters. The King's second-tier soldiers have armor made out of pure gold. Gold is also ridiculously soft in comparison to other metals, including the ones used in a lot of weaponry. Do the math. And for Season 2: No matter how much two people may love each other, if they grew up without any real frame of reference for how a healthy romantic relationship is supposed to go, it’s not too difficult to imagine that they might have some trouble adjusting. Soohyuk is reluctant to engage in his and Wolfgang's romantic trysts due to the psychological and sexual abuse he endured from the King. While Wolfgang's love is much healthier and he refuses to cross the line against Shin's consent, his partner is still scarred from the humiliation he endured isn't as receptive towards his affections, even when the two become more sexually intimate. | |
