Game Show Garbage (GSG) is a website created in 2009 by Cyndi Seidelman. The best way to describe GSG is basically that it's WrestleCrap for the worst in Game Shows.In 2014, the site expanded to add Tooncrap (a blog about terrible cartoons), Mediocre Music TV (a blog about music-based reality shows), and Video Game Garbage (a blog about bad video games), although MMTV and V.G. Garbage have since fallen by the wayside.The regular "Game Show Garbage" inductions ended September 26, 2015, with the induction of The Briefcase. According to the official Facebook page, each year going forward would have approximately 5-6 inductions, including the annual Wayney Award. In 2018, the inductions expanded to a monthly format. Finally, Seidelman announced that she would stop doing inductions in late 2019, choosing instead to focus on her new project “Game Show Gumbo�, which focuses on game show news in a The Soup-esque format, ending with the site’s 255th Induction (Seidelman stated she planned to end at 255 in reference to The Legend of Zelda, namely its Rupee counter which maxes out at 255). The last induction, detailing the downfall of the quiz app HQ, was released on October 18, 2019. However, at the end of 2020, Seidelman decided to bring it back with an induction on the 1978 version of Jeopardy!, citing fan demand. | |

Fan Hater: At one point, Seidelman didn't think too highly of a certain highly passionate faction of game show fandom that she called the "Number 3s" (as opposed to "Number 1s" whom she sees as the most rational fans, and "Number 2s" who only occasionally let their fandom cloud their judgment). According to her, these fans have oversensitive Nostalgia Filters and Berserk Buttons, often display what borders on Insane Troll Logic, and are very quick to complain about change. For the site's 139th induction, as part of a "The Price Is WRONG" week, Seidelman singled out The Price Is Right fan site Golden-Road.net as an example of the "Number 3" branch. Except... The induction included personal attacks on several prominent members, with Seidelman using the Encyclopedia Dramatica page on the site as a source (despite noting that yes, ED is "a parody site and a troll site"). Said ED page was created by a disgruntled former Golden-Road member. She notes that "The integrity of the site was long gone even before the new website was put up since it was the actions of the users that compromised it with the 2007 blow up over Barker retiring and the 2008 death blow of Dobkowitz being fired." Relatively few people were upset over Barker retiring, as it was his choice. By comparison, a lot of people were upset about Roger being fired, since he had been very kind to the site note (giving behind-the-scenes access, supplying info about the show's history for the site's Price FAQ, and actively playing against the site's members in the Friday Prediction Game) and it wasn't his choice, having essentially been told "We want to take the show in a new direction. Either go with it or get out." The main reason the induction was made was because a former Golden-Road user had emailed Seidelman to talk about a disturbing incident in August 2008 when a couple of members were being extremely stupid in response to said user's loved one dying from cancer. While the user in question didn't paint the entire forum as being full of those kinds of people, Seidelman pretty much did. | |

Take That!: In the Big Saturday Night induction, Seidelman can barely hide her contempt for Ross Matthews. She lets loose near the very end, calling him an "un-talented waste of molecular tissue", and she goes as far as to threaten to kill Ross. At one point in Think Like a Cat, the contestants predict if their cat will go inside a box with a speaker playing the owner's voice. One contestant guesses "no", but the judges rule against him because his cat poked its nose inside. Seidelman responds by saying: In the David Sparks induction, Seidelman mentions that hunting shows and professional logger competitions are "not for [her]". She displays a list of other things that aren't for her, which include Call of Duty games after Modern Warfare 2, shows starring the Kardashians, and Nicki Minaj. In the Think Fast induction, Seidelman compares season 1's tiny set to the inside of Tim Tebow's head. In the NASCAR Smarts induction, Seidelman makes digs at stage racing in NASCAR, as well as the 2022 Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum and NASCAR's current state in general. | |
