You Meddling Kids: the episode Galloping Ghost used a similar format to the mystery-solving cartoons of the 70s. Ferdy was the culprit because he was sleepwalking to get cookies, but didn't say the famous line.

Strictly Formula: In most episodes, Corn and Peg go about their daily lives, then something goes wrong or they get a job to do. They sing their "Do Good" song, and proceed to start helping out. Usually after failing on the first few tries, they eventually learn the solution to the problem, usually the episode's moral, and use it to complete their mission.

Chekhov's Skill: In "Power Outage", Corn & Peg learn from Todd that Tumble Hay Candy (essentially candy floss) can be washed away with water when it got stuck on Ferdy's face. Later, the wind turbine causes the aforementioned power outage because Todd forgot to turn off the candy machine and it ended up getting stuck to the turbine. You Mean "Xmas": "Horse-o-ween", which is a horse version of Halloween. "Hoofsgiving", which is a horse version of Thanksgiving, "Hoofmas", which is a horse version of Christmas. Averted in Hot Hooves, where Peg asks Hal if his "keep cool cap" is a Halloween costume.
