A French Television show which aired on France 3, Foot 2 Rue (Street Football in English and Futbol Callejero in Spanish) is based on the book, La Compagnia dei Celestini by Italian author Stefano Benni and adapted by French animator, Steven Roux of French Bulldog Studios. Originally, five seasons were planned, but only the first three were released, with the final episode acting as a form of epilogue, though there is a Sequel Series. However, the series returned for its fourth season in February 2022, this focusing on supporting character "Li'l Dragon" Wong as he seeks to build a new team for World Cup contention.Unlike La Compagnia dei Celestini, Foot 2 Rue takes place in Port-Marie, a thinly-veiled representation of Marseille. The kids of Port Marie organize a Street Football World Cup with the help of a former professional footballer, thus attracting players from all around the world and becoming famous worldwide in the process. The sport itself consists of a stripped down version of soccer, meant to be accessible to all children regardless of money and social status and in any location. The first three seasons of Foot 2 Rue follow the adventures of ''The Rifflers'' a.k.a. "Les Blues de Port Marie". Five of them attend the Riffler Institute in Port Marie: Sebastien "Tag" Tagano, the captain of the Blues De Port Marie. Charismatic and sometimes stubborn, but still a nice guy. He's in a relationship with the team goalie, Eloïse. Eloïse Riffler, the goalkeeper of the team. She is also dating Tag and is fairly popular due to her family's wealth. Gabriel N'Daula, Tag's best friend, whose mother and father work in Asia and Africa respectively for humanitarian causes. He is the tactician of the team. The TekNo Brothers, Tek (Tarek) and No (Nordine) Zaim are completely identical twin brothers. They come from a large family, with three triplet younger sisters and a little brother. In the second season, they leave the Blues to join the Olympic Team, but return for guest appearances during the season to help their old team in several vital matches. They later return to the Blues full-time in the third season to help defend their World Cup championship. Jeremy Webert, the new boy at the Riffler Institute and one of the two new teammates introduced in the second season. He is a bit of a prankster. He is also very laid back and often argues with Tag over this attitude. Samira Ziaoui replaces the TekNo brothers along with Jeremy during the second season. She quickly becomes Eloïse's best friend (due them being the only girls on the team). She and Jeremy share a flirtatious relationship during the second season, which soon evolves into a romantic one over the remainder of the series. In the fourth season, most of the original team has left Port Marie for one reason or another. "Li'l Dragon" Wong, a long time admirer of them, decides to form a new generation of Blues to pursue his own Street Football ambitions, with four of them living at the Riffler Institute: Bianca, an orphan living at the Institute, who has a close relationship with Li'l Dragon. She is sensitive, attentive, and slightly childish, but is also very kind. Asaad, an immigrant who was separated from his family and rescued at sea. He serves as the fastest player on the new Blues. Kani, a touchy and temperamental, but talented and protective player who lives at the Institute while her parents live in the countryside. She has a close friendship with Bianca, often serving as a big sister to her. Frank, the Blues' new goalkeeper. He uses a baseball glove while goaltending due to loving both sports. For most of the season, he struggles to convince his father, who wants him to focus on work and school only, of his dream to become a pro-athlete, but manages to win him over near the end of the series. Additionally, Jeremy, the only player of the original Blues still in Port Marie, is still around, but has since moved on to become captain of new team FC Golmetti. Nonetheless, he still supports the new Blues and mentors them as they try to qualify for the World Cup. However, Jeremy begins to become disillusioned with FC Golmetti after he finds that the manager tried to rig a match in the team's favor. After the manager does so again despite Jeremy's warnings and his previous promise to not do it again, and manages to convince the rest of the team that winning is all that matters, Jeremy quits FC Golmetti out of disgust, and returns to the Blues permanently, serving as both their coach, and an extra player for the rest of the season.Due to the large cast, Foot 2 Rue now has its own Character Sheet! Also due to the high number of Five Man Bands, Foot 2 Rue also has its own Five Man Band page. It also has a WMG page. The first three seasons of this series were previously found in English on Netflix, under the alternate name of Street Football, but have been removed as of June 2016.In addition, a part Sequel Series, part Spiritual Successor All-CGI Cartoon titled "Foot 2 Rue Extreme" (also known as "Extreme Football") began broadcasting in 2014. This series sees an almost 100% new cast of characters who work in teams of five that uses a new style of the sport called, well, Extreme Football. Tag, who, along with his once thought Disappeared Dad, now lives with his new blended family, comes to mentor main character and new step-brother Samy and his friends on their Extreme Football endeavors.

Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Tag fits this trope. He has dark hair, dark skin and Eloise loves him for a reason. The fact that he's Spanish is a bonus. Gabriel is this to Fatou. Averted with Tek, who isn't even tall but he starts dating Liraze.

Stage Mom: Subverted. Eloise's mom actually encouraged her to continue modeling for Urban Star as part of a Miss World competition and to date Mochi. The Riffler's already know that Tag's dating their daughter, so why are they now encouraging Mochi? The Tek No brothers are another subversion. Their father used to be a famous athlete in Algeria. To be fair, they come from a family of athletes.

Parental Abandonment: Averted. Tag didn't know he had a family until, thanks to Victoria and Ms. Adelaide, he is reunited with Pablo. The Tek No brothers have four younger siblings, this is the reason why they stayed at the Riffler Institute. After his dad's divorce from his mom when he was seven, Jeremy ran away from home when he was ten. This certainly doesn't help as he was kicked out of 8 different schools. Gabriel's mom works in Africa while his dad works in India. Eloïse's folks are workaholics and spend very little time with her. Averted with Samira, who lives with her college-aged brother. Her parents are hardly seen, but in an interview she stated that her father was a soccer player famous in Morocco back in the 80's.

Absurdly Powerful Student Council: Port-Marie being the stadium to the Street Football World Cup Shark, the captains of their five top teams hold a fair amount of decision power. Said "council" is composed of Shark, captain of the Port Sharks, Fred, captain of the Boulevard Vampires, Val, captain of the Shopping Mall Barracudas, Laklass, captain of the Vagrants of the Park and Ben, the previous captain of the City Spooks. Parodied in one episode where Sinead informs everyone that Mochi is going to kiss Eloïse, much to Tag's disgust. Sinead, Sandra, Sonya, Fatou and Victoria already know about Eloïse and Tag's relationship, so they're obviously doing it For the Evulz. This could be due to the fact that the Bleus were playing against the Eagles of Jerusalem, whom Mochi is the captain of. And also because Victoria lied about a magazine request for Urban Star. Then there's Mask who invites Victoria and Sandra to join his team along with Ben and Victor but according to Mask himself, they're the kings. If only Tag was spying on him.

Parental Substitute: Tag and Eloïse often have to play mom and dad to the TekNo brothers and Lil' Dragon. It helps that Lil' Dragon often looks up to Tag since his father is nowhere to be seen. The twins, on the other hand, were the first friends that Tag had. Since Eloïse is like a mother to them, they seem close to her too. Jeremy and Samira sometimes do this whenever Tag or Eloise is absent. Jeremy and the twins agree on the same things and they hang out together. He even gave Tek advice about love.

Surrounded by Idiots: When things get out of hand, Tag likes to refer to his own gang as idiots. For example, Tag saw the Canadian team trying to rig the game against the Japanese, but was shocked to find out that Akira didn't know about it. Incensed by this, Tag tries to convince his team that the Canadians were not to be trusted, but due to Tag recently being down in the dumps over having cost the Blues a recent game by accidentally scoring on his own goal, they don't believe him, thinking that he's desperately trying to make up for this. Sadly for him, his sleuth-like activities draw the ire of the Canadian team when they realize he's on to them, leading them to successfully campaign against him to discredit him and get him sidelined for their game against his team, and once the Blues find out that Tag was telling the truth all along, they feel guilty. Unfortunately, Tag doesn't call his own team out because he knows that they'll feel his wrath even more.

Heel–Face Turn
 Foot 2 Rue / int_617f0563
comment
Heel–Face Turn: Both main antagonists Ben and Victoria eventually undergo this in the series, as does supporting antagonist Tony. Ben and Tony spend most of Season 1 trying to sabotage the Blues for revenge; Ben for losing his chance to take over as Commissioner of the Street Football League and being denied the chance to participate in the first World Cup, and Tony for the Blues replacing him due to his cowardice and lack of solidarity. After their final scheme to get Tag permanently banned from the World Cup by framing him for assaulting another player falls apart and leads to all of their other schemes being publicly exposed, the two then face their own permanent ban from the World Cup and the League. Tag, however, decides to let them off the hook, primarily due to sympathizing with Ben for his poor background. This touches them to the point where they drop their grudge against Tag and the Blues. Ben also settles his differences with Tag to the point that he later recruits Ben to play for them once later in the season (to fill in for Gabriel who was struggling to get back from visiting his parents in Africa), and then again in Season 3 (to help fill in for the TekNo twins who were called back to the Olympic team temporarily), though on both occasions, Ben has to deal with trust issues due to his past behavior. Tony also becomes civil with them again and even loans his old goalie gloves to Gabriel when the latter has to fill in for Eloise as goalkeeper on occasion. Victoria, meanwhile, spends the majority of Seasons 2 and 3 trying to either keep the Blues out of the World Cup (during Season 2) or prevent them from advancing in it (during Season 3) by any means necessary; her motive being revenge against the team for turning her away due to her reckless playing style, and against her former best friend Eloise, for transferring schools on her when they were younger and for supporting the Blues over her during her failed attempt to impress them. The lengths she goes to ruin them even makes Ben look like a saint. However, when Nicolas Anelka warns her that her her reckless arrogance and win-at-all-costs attitude will only leave her completely friendless and absolutely disliked or even hated, she silently starts to question her motivations and behavior, and stops actively trying to sabotage the Blues. Her redemption comes full-circle in the final two episodes of Season 3 when, after learning that her secret of how she got on the Dolphins is about to be exposed, she ends up meeting Tag's long-lost father Pablo. After learning about his life and his struggles against the Argentinian dictatorship (which landed him in prison for years and separated him from his wife and son, the former of whom later died after leaving the latter in France), she comes to realizes that her various schemes and tricks to destroy the Blues have made her essentially no different than the dictatorship Pablo had fought against all his life, and for the first time feels ashamed and remorseful for everything she's ever done. She decides to put things right by exposing the Dolphins as fakes (they are actually the older siblings of the real team, who stole their spot in the World Cup to have a better chance at winning) to Fede; the Dolphins are disqualified (though Fede announces that they voluntarily withdrew due to "personal reasons" to avoid a scandal), and Victoria admits to blackmailing her way on their team to participate in the World Cup and withdraws herself from the competition. She also helps Tag and Pablo reconnect with each other and admits that the latter helped her realize that courage, integrity, and loyalty are more important than winning. This softens the Blues' views of her somewhat, and most of all, she is finally able to reconcile with Eloise like she had wanted. She then continues her redemption by making amends with Lil' Dragon (whom she had antagonized during one of her sabotage schemes) and training him and his friends in street football. This later proves vital when, just before the World Cup final, the Blues hit a roster crisis and lose three members, with Tag and Tek leaving (the former to be with his father who is called back to Argentina, and the latter after he is recruited to London's pro-football club) and Gabriel getting sidelined with a leg injury, leaving them severely short-handed, and all potential replacements are unavailable. When Victoria hears of the crisis, she offers a solution, albeit not her own participation (as she admits that she doesn't deserve to play in the final after all her past misdeeds), but rather that of Lil' Dragon and his friends, with them becoming the next generation of the Blues. While most of the team is still hesitant to trust her, they agree to take on her idea and she is last seen watching the old and new Blues playing in the final match.

Age Is Relative: None of the characters' ages have been stated except for Jeremy, Tag and Gabriel. The books (which take place during Season 2) stated that Jeremy was seven years old when his parents divorced six years before the story, making him 13 years old in seasons 2 and 3. Gabriel moved to France when he was 8 years old, making him 14 years old in seasons 2 and 3 (he already had his birthday in season 2). On the other hand, Tag was admitted into the Riffler Institute when he was 4. He was 13 years old in Season 1, but is 14 in Seasons 2 and 3 (he must have celebrated his birthday in between). Samira was 13 years old in Season 2 as she moved to France when she was 11. Jeremy got her a necklace for her birthday, thus making her 14. On the other hand, we don't know how old Tek, No and Eloïse are.

Serious Business: it seems like the whole Riffler team have serious business to tend with. Tag takes his football seriously even going so far to reject dates, days off and very weird training regimes. His relationship with Eloïse, searching for the family he never knew had and if you do anything that the team are against, Tag never gets over it. Jeremy did martial arts in China, brought a daishiki in Senegal and knows his way around a favela in Brazil. Since this is Jeremy we're talking about, he's just a culture freak. Samira loves anime and manga as well as football. Only Takeshi and Bunji were against this because they thought Samira was a mole for Tag. Tek and No are sports fanatics and, furthermore, they would do anything to get to the top teams. Tek in particular means business as he joins Arsenal. When they were young the twins were interested in other sports as well. Tek was a basketball fanatic but he was short and No was a rugby fan. It has become a running gag that everyone thinks Eloïse takes media and entertainment serious, but her parents really think so. Her relationship with Tag has also become serious business. Gabriel is a bookworm and will do almost anything to go by the book.

The main antagonists of the series (Ben and Tony in Season 1, Victoria in Seasons 2 & 3) and many-one time antagonists also qualify. Remember her friend, Manuela who tagged along with her and Eloise to a Jorkyball tournament in Season 2? She returns as a stand in for one of the Malaysian team's best players. And Atsuko, who had 3 speaking lines just before the episode where the Blues play against the Otakus. And the episode was called "The Secret Of Atsuko". To be fair, anything involving Samira has got to be a Chevov's Gun. Her dad might make an appearance in Season 4 at least.

Jerkass Ball: The Blues pick it up against Gabriel during Episode 4, because he proclaimed himself captain without telling them. Thing is, he only did it because the captain needed to be present for a meeting between the team captains (and their team would be disqualified otherwise), and when he went to tell Tag, he found him crying about his Disappeared Dad and didn't want to bother him, so he went instead. Tag gets mad when he finds out, and promptly turns the rest of the team against him. The Blues start shunning Gabriel, and even play badly just to spite him. While Tag's attitude is understandable, if still inexcusable, due to his pride, the twins just refuse to believe Gab's side of the story, and while Eloise admittedly didn't get to hear it, she still turns too quickly against the team member that had been most welcoming towards her from the beginning.

Belligerent Sexual Tension: In early Season 1, Tag liked to guilt trip Elose and she liked to annoy him by bringing her mobile phone to each game.(Considering the fact that her parents don't have time for her because they're on the phone most of the time.) This continued until Tag saw Elose hanging out with Always Someone Better Zangezinho]]. Not wanting to lose Elose, Tag told her how he felt and she returned the favor. Type A tsundere Samira seems to put up with Jeremy's sarcasm but if the sarcasm was towards her, she would punch his lights out. Takeshi and Atsuko, who are Jeremy and Samira's Japanese counterparts (the former wears an earring and has sarcastic tendencies, the latter is a sarcastic tsundere who is quite friendly) quite fit this trope. Although it isn't implied, they might be dating as Samira heard them arguing like a married couple. It makes sense since Samira is an Otaku and Jeremy cares about her in his own way.

Tsundere: Tag is a Type A male version of this. He's a grouch and his favorite pass time in Season 1 was belittling Eloise every chance he got and in Season 3 after finding out that Pablo was his dad, Tag had no problem calling him out much to the shock of Cartoon and Shark who were present. Samira is a Type B as she's friendly most of the time even to Jeremy. But there was this one time when she was helping No replace Tek, she fell over and Jeremy was laughing his head off. What does Samira do? She punches his lights out. Not to mention she has a tendency to pull his ear. However, Tek must be going through puberty so he's actually a Type A but gets over emotional. Eloise for some reason has a tendency to switch from Type A to Type B. She's like an older sister to her own gang but gets irate over Jeremy's childishness or Tag's irritable turn offs. The entire Japanese team despite their friendly nature. In one episode, all of them complained to Shark about an allowed goal, when the ball was already broken. In another episode, Atsuko got into a fight with Eloise, who also is a tsundere despite the fact their best friend is Samira, who is a combination of a type A and B tsundere.

Jerk Jock: Tag sometimes does this. Jeremy did this once as he stopped his team from talking to Diego since Tag would befriend them before the big game. Ben was a jerk throughout Season 1, even going so far as to get Tag permanently disqualified by framing him for brutally attacking a rival player during a match. Takeshi is also a jerk to Samira and Atsuko. Victoria also becomes a female version this due to her various dirty schemes throughout seasons 2 & 3. The Massai were shunned one time during Season 3 when they mistook the Blues for being over an hour late for an important match: Victoria had trapped them in their cabins during the previous night, and Li'l Dragon, who was staying with them as a guest, accidentally witnessed what happened while returning from the bathroom, but didn't tell anyone about it until much later because Victoria caught him watching her, threatened him with physical harm if he told anyone and kept a close eye on him to ensure he didn't snitch. The Blues subsequently lost by withdrawal, ruining their chances of making the semi-finals, and the rest of the teams began to believe that the Massai, who had come up with the one-hour late rule, of trapping the Blues in their cabins to enforce said rule and get an easy win, and deemed them as cheaters. Fortunately, Li'l Dragon eventually overcame his fear and ensured the truth got out, clearing the Massai's names.

Too Dumb to Live: Despite being popular and beautiful, Eloise is a dumbass but this usually happens when she's on her own. There was one example when her parents were going to New York and Tag asked her if she wanted him to take her home, she shrugged it off. Minutes later, Oscar and Fara have her gagged and tied up, something that Victoria forced them to do. Jeremy also qualifies as he's easily misguided especially in Season 2. And Eduardo, who drove a police car once to an important game. He got sidelined because of this and he was late, something that Zangezinho doesn't tolerate.

So Proud of You: If you ask the parents of Gab, Tag and the twins, they'll say that they're proud of them. Pablo is proud of Tag for being a national hero in his own country and vice versa. Jeremy's mom already has her own opinion of her son, but what would his dad say? Since Samira wants to be a footballer like her dad, no point guessing, huh. Eloïse subverts this trope. Anything she does is either showbiz or it runs in the family. Poor kid.

Berserk Button: The Blues each have a berserk button: Don't say anything sexist or racist in front of Samira. She will seriously kill you. Be surprised to find something strange about his hair. Even if you order him around, he just ignores you. Even though Tag is easygoing, you'll have to think twice before kissing Elose in front of him. He just won't allow it. And don't call him a liar, either. Shout-Out: So many shout-outs within the series. 'Footballs of Shame' is a homage to the Karate Kid and his mentor, Mr Win looks lkie Pat Morita. The best part: Even before the trip to China, Jeremy makes a reference to Jackie Chan and the Karate Kid. Guess who portrays Miyagi in the 2010 remake 'Yam Force' is a homage of District 13 but without the drugs. Tag was hanging out with the older kids one weekend when Samira, Gabriel, and Jeremy had prior commitments, and Eloise was forced to hang out with the son of some of her parents friends at the last minute. Akira and his True Companions are die-hard Naruto fans. Tag lampshades this by informing his own True Companions that their prefered style of movement is Ninja. Even Takeshi resembles Monkey D Luffy but with Sasuke's haircut. For some reason, there are loads of Naruto references such as one episode where some of the cosplayers dress as Naruto and Bleach characters. Diego's nickname is Maradona. Ronald's nickname is Cristiano. Eduardo looks like Ronaldo.

Dating What Daddy Hates: In the first half of Season 1, Elose's dad hated Tag because he was poor, bad-tempered and parentless in contrast to Eloise's blue blood, silver spoon upperclass lifestyle. However, Elose doesn't date Tag to spite her parents; father, she dates him because of his charisma. It's implied that Jeremy's family (minus his cousin, Johnny) would hate Samira because she's tomboyish. On the other hand, Samira's dad would hate Jeremy because of his upbringing. Idriss is protective of Liraze and will look out for her, but he doesn't mind that she and Tek are dating.

Somebody Doesn't Love Raymond
 Foot 2 Rue / int_e075da76
comment
Somebody Doesn't Love Raymond: Everyone of the Blues have at least somebody that hates their guts so much, cue the sabotage attempts. In Season 1, Ben sees Tag and his team as unworthy to join the Street Football League and was jealous that he had such close relationships with them and that most of them had stable home lives compared to his own. Tony Lopez, meanwhile, hated the Blues ever since he got replaced with Eloïse after abandoning them during their first official match against the Sharks (the league at the time was underground and disliked by most of the public due to the unintentional property damage and peace disturbances caused by the games and several shopkeepers had notified the police, which Tony wanted nothing to do with). Ben recruits Tony to his team and, after having his attempt to take Shark's position as Commissioner of the Street Football League foiled and his team, the Phantoms, knocked out of contention for the World Cup by the Blues, the two spend most of the rest of the season trying to get revenge on the team: Framing them for causing a scaffolding to collapse on a car during a match, which gets the innocent cousin of a player from the opposing team wrongfully arrested and the player's family temporarily evicted from their home. Trapping several players from the Bronx Devils team in a shipping container after luring them out on a date, and then convincing their captain to have them substitute for the missing players in their game against the Blues. Trying to help the mayor get the Riffler Institute shut down and condemned. Framing the team for theft and burglary in one of their attempts for the aforementioned; this is averted by Madame Adelaide, who knows the kids are innocent and forced the mayor to stand down by threatening to go public with his own history as a delinquent (including an infamous, unsolved car theft) They come closest in their last sabotage attempt when Tony videotaped Ben (who was disguised as Tag) beating Ali of the Desert Scorpions to a pulp during a match between the Blues and the Scorpions. While the plan does work at first, temporarily getting Tag permanently banned from the World Cup and nearly causing him to leave town for good, it ultimately backfires after Gabriel and the twins discover the setup and Tony's involvement via a short blip revealing that Tony had taped over his birthday party video to get the footage and force him and Ben to fess up to all of their schemes. Even though everyone suggests that Ben and Tony should be banned from the World Cup and the League for life themselves for their actions, Tag decides to let them off the hook, primarily due to sympathizing with Ben for his poor background. Following this, the two drop their grudge against Tag and the Blues and Ben settles his differences with the former to the point that he is later recruited to play for them on two separate occasions (once later in Season 1 and then again in Season 3), while Tony becomes civil with them again and even loans his old goalie gloves to Gabriel when the latter has to fill in for Eloise as goalkeeper on occasion. Victoria has held a grudge against Eloise from back in elementary school. From what Eloise had told Tag, Victoria's father owned the elementary school and she was trying to live up to his standards. On the other hand, Eloise was popular with students and teachers alike and she was praised with good grades whilst Victoria wasn't in either category and Eloise was her only friend. When Eloise decided to switch to public school due to wanting to get away from the pressure, Victoria felt betrayed since Eloise had promised her she would never leave her; this perceived betrayal was later amplified in their reunion in Season 2, when Victoria tries to join the Blues to reconnect with Eloise, but is turned away by Tag due to her brutal and selfish playing style, and Eloise sides with him over her. Since then, Victoria holds a grudge against Eloise and the Blues to the point of creating her own team, the Black Devils, who exploit the loopholes of street football unwritten rules to clobber them in their first game against them. Throughout the season, Victoria makes multiple evil plans to sabotage the Blues in one way or another: She hires one of her friends to run over Eloise with a bike, which they narrowly miss, and steal her phone to cut off Eloise's contact with them before an important match in order to take her place and prove that she should be part of the Blues. However, her selfish playing style only proves more of a hinderance than an advantage, thus cementing Tag's rejection of her. She arranges for Jeremy to reunite with his younger half-brother Ben, knowing that he wouldn't be pleased to see him (mainly due to Jeremy being jealous that Ben has gotten to spend more time with their dad than him), and then steals footage of him abusing Ben and tries to give it to the press in order to ruin Jeremy's reputation to the point that the Blues and the League would have to cut ties with him to save face. Fortunately, the Blues and Shark discover the scheme are able to steal and destroy the tape just in time. She has some of her friends break Jeremy's leg during a concert, then convinces the Angels, a weak team she and the Devils were training, to fake injuries in their game against the Blues and replace them with her teammates. Thankfully, Jeremy is able to piece together her scheme and show them Victoria's true colors, leading the Angels to forfeit the game and ruin yet another of her schemes She becomes angry and jealous when she and the Black Devils are chastised by the citizens of Maryport for their ruthless playing during a game, which causes some property damage and endangers several people's safety, including that of a baby; she becomes even more enraged when Eloîse is praised for saving said baby while accidentally interfering with the game and is publicly scolded and embarrassed by her, and schemes to get revenge by having her father organize a charity game between the Blues and the Black Devils in order to humiliate her. When the Blues bring Tek and No back to utilize the Black Devils substitution strategy, she tries to circle around it at the game by framing Eloise for theft by planting some of the donation money in her bag, temporarily getting her arrested for theft. Tag also leaves with Eloîse's parents to support her, thus leaving the Blues unable to utilize the substitution strategy. Fortunately, some of the people who praised Eloise for saving the baby the previous day speak up for her, and clear her name, allowing her and Tag to return and play the Black Devils to a tie. After seeing some overzealous Riffler fans acting out both during games and in general, she and her right-hand man Alex frame the fans for attacking rival players, nearly getting the Blues disqualified from contention in the World Cup. Fortunately, the Blues discover this and catch the two vandalizing Shark's office in another frame-up attempt and take pictures and video of them, forcing them to admit to their deeds and clean up the mess. In the Season 2 finale, with the final qualification match of the 2nd Street Football World Cup between the Blues and the Black Devils coming up, Victoria and her father decide to use the Riffler Institute against the team; he has a school inspector friend from the board of education come to the school and evaluate Jeremy's progress. As planned, the tyrannical inspector asks advanced and even rigged questions that Jeremy cannot possibly answer and deems him as a thug despite how much he has changed and improved since coming to the institute. When Miss Adelaide, Tag, and Gabriel defend him to the point of outright disrespecting the inspector, he additionally deems Miss Adelaide unfit to be headmistress, suspends her from her position and takes over as temporary headmaster. He then unjustly transfers Jeremy to a juvenile correctional institution, and forces Tag and Gabriel to do endless chores and refuses to allow them to leave the school grounds as retaliation for their disrespect, putting the Blues' prospects in serious jeopardy. Fortunately, Tag and Gabriel work together with Chronos, the Sharks, and the rest of the Riffler students to frame the inspector as an incompetent, negligent, and even drunken headmaster, getting him arrested and fired, and allowing Miss Adelaide to retake her position and reverse Jeremy's transfer. In addition, they also break into Victoria's school, find all the evidence of her past schemes against the Blues, and threaten to have her and the Black Devils disqualified unless they agree to a clean, rule-abiding game, which they do. In the qualification match the next day, after the Blues take the lead and Eloise blocks one of her attempt to tie the game, Victoria (out of frustration and spite) deliberately aims for Eloise and kicks the ball into her so hard that it sends her flying back into a tree. Cue Tag, who rushes to his girl's side and immediately calls Victoria out for this, and Fede immediately gives her the choice of either voluntarily sitting herself out for the rest of the game and letting a substitute take her place, or being "red carded" or forcibly ejected from the game, which would result in the Black Devils playing short-handed for the rest of the game for her brutal conduct, causing her to run off in humiliation while swearing revenge. Fast forward to Season 3, Victoria has blackmailed the Oceania team, the Dolphins, to persuade her to become their captain, much to Oscar's dismay. She continues her campaign against the Blues to ruin their World Cup contention: During breakfast in the first episode, she taunts Eloise after she spills orange juice on her pants, and later causes most of the Blues to get sick by spiking their drinks with an emetic, and this contributes to the Blues end up losing to Dolphins in their first match after Eloise scores a last-second goal too late. After she learns of the Blues' history with her Season 1 counterpart Ben (who visits Maryport after having moved to Paris with his father) as well as the team's struggles with dealing with each member's jealousy of two of them having to sit on the bench at times during their matches, Victoria decides to use these problems against them after the Tek No twins are temporarily called back to the Olympic team for a friendly match, and Tag tries to recruit Ben to fill in for them. She arranges for Tag to be injured, thus leaving the Blues short-handed and with no other choice but to have Ben fill in for him, as she anticipated. Sure enough, during the game, after Ben accidentally messes up a play early on, the rest of the Blues' immediately lose whatever trust they had in him, and start focusing on their own performances instead of playing as a team, causing them to fall behind. Even worse, before leaving the game, Victoria ups the anté by bribing a kid to reveal that Ben knew about the Tek No twins being absent beforehand and the others jump to the wrongful conclusion that he arranged for Tag's accident to take his place, which nearly causes Ben to quit over inability to handle all the negativity or play for a team that doesn't trust him. Thankfully, Tag comes off the bench despite his injury so that way Ben will have at least one teammate with faith in him, and manages to play well even with his injury. This re-inspires the Blues to accept Ben and they come back to win in the end. Once the new rules are introduced, Victoria has no problem locking the Blue in their bedrooms in the middle of the night and threatening Li'l Dragon (who had accidentally witnessed her doing this) with physical harm if he snitched on her and subsequently staying close to him to ensure he stayed quiet to the point that he sat next to her at lunchtime out of fear. The Blues subsequently lose the their match to the Massai by withdrawal due to being over an hour late for the match, which was a rule the Massai had suggested be included, ruining their chances of making the semi-finals, and the other teams of the World Cup start to turn against the Massai, accusing them of cheating to enforce the new rule they'd suggested and get an easy win. Thankfully, Li'l Dragon, after seeing the ensuing chaos, overcomes his fear and told the truth, clearing up the situation and allowing the match between the Blues and Massai to take place. In another attempt, Victoria manipulates events to get Eloise alone, then forces Fara and Oscar to kidnap and tie her up, and lock her away to weaken the Blues prior to a match, then makes the Blues think she deliberately ditched them in order to shake their focus up during the match. It nearly works to the point where even after Tag, Samira, and Jeremy discover Victoria's foul play, the Blues nearly opt to forfeit the match until they figure out what happened to Eloise. Thankfully, Oscar has an attack of conscience and frees her in time for her to rejoin the team and mount a comeback. When the Malaysian Tigers are found to have all boys in their ranks (their sole female player was injured prior the World Cup and her brother dressed up as her to avoid them being disqualified), Fede only allows them to stay in the Cup if they can find a replacement female, and Victoria, seeing an opportunity, is the only one to step up to fill the slot. However, in their match against the Blues, she utilizes various moves methods that range from unethical to outright illegal to beat her rivals, which the Tigers do not agree with. When they call her out and threaten to kick her off the team, however, she reminds them that if they do so and no other female steps up to replace her, they'll have no choice but to withdraw from the World Cup, e.g. they're stuck with her. Fortunately, before they can make the choice to forfeit to preserve their honor and dignity, Samira has her friend Manuela volunteer to help; the Tigers at once accept and send Victoria packing. When Victoria sees how popular Eloise has become, especially with the boys in town, and how uncomfortable, she decides to use it to her advantage in another sabotage attempt: she lies to pop magazine Urban Star that Eloise is seeing someone else, spreading rumors that she and Tag's relationship has hit a snag, and causing fans and paparazzi to follow her wherever she goes, to the point where the Blues can't even have a match without them disturbing it. Fortunately, the Blues discover the scheme and turn it on her by making it appear that Victoria is dating one her teammates, causing her to become the victim of the same harassment she had subjected Eloise to. In her last attempt to sabotage the Blues when they are about to discover how she got on the Dolphins, Victoria ends up meeting Tag's father. After learning the truth behind their family history, including how Tag's father spent his life rebelling against the Argentinian government's lies and oppression and ending up in jail for it, she, touched by this, and realizing how her actions against the Blues and others has made her just as bad as the people Tag's father has fought against (and also taking into account prior advice given to her by Nicolas Anelka that her reckless arrogance and win-at-all-costs attitude will continue leaving her completely friendless and utterly disliked), helps Tag reconnect with his father, and exposes and calls out the "Dolphins" (who are actually the older siblings of the actual players) for their cheating, getting them disqualified and sacrificing her place in the World Cup as well.

Calling the Old Man Out: After a brief reunion, Tag at first wanted nothing to do with Pablo, even going so for by calling him out by reminding him that he wasn't there for him when he needed him the most. Pablo did explain why he abandoned Tag as baby. He was arrested back in Argentina while Tag was raised in France, which explains why they have different surnames. Eloise calls her dad out saying that he doesn't give a hoot about her like she doesn't exist after the years of overprotectiveness.
