Super Best Friends Forever is a series of animated superhero comedy shorts created by Lauren Faust for Cartoon Network's DC Nation block. The cartoons feature Supergirl (Kara Zor-El, voiced by Nicole Sullivan), Batgirl (Barbara Gordon, voiced by Tara Strong), and Wonder Girl (Donna Troy, voiced by Grey DeLisle) fighting crime and their adventures as SBFF!Five episodes were made and aired throughout 2012, with these minute-long shorts including: "Invisible Joy Ride": Wonder Girl is ready to help her sister Wonder Woman in the world of man, but her friends Batgirl and Supergirl are more interested in hijacking the fabled Invisible Jet. "Time Waits for No Girl": Poison Ivy is attacking the city, and Batgirl has to race across Gotham to meet up with her friends to fight the menace. "Grounded": Kara is grounded, but Batgirl and Wonder Girl convince her to sneak out to fight crime. She just has to get by her Cousin of Steel first. "Name Game": While fighting Cheetah, the girls argue whether or not "The Super Best Friends Forever" is a good name for their little team or not. "Don't Fight Girls": The team tries to get in a fight with Solomon Grundy, but "SOLOMON GRUNDY NO FIGHT GIRLS!"Lauren Faust would go on to pitch the idea of expanding the shorts into a full-length series, but was turned down. Years later, Faust was able to recycle many of the concepts seen in SBFF when she became showrunner for the television series DC Super Hero Girls, based on the media franchise of the same name.Has absolutely nothing to do with Two Best Friends Play, which was renamed Super Best Friends Play when Woolie and Liam joined. | |
