Jonathan Solofa Fatu and Joshua Samuel Fatu (born August 22, 1985) are a former Samoan-American Tag Team known to WWE viewers as The Usos, Jimmy (Jonathan) and Jey (Joshua). They debuted in 2007 under their real names for the World Xtreme Wrestling promotion, run by their uncle, Afa. They named their team The Samoan Soldiers and also made appearances in Texas based Xtreme Championship Wrestling, Anarchy Wrestling in Georgia and NWA Prime Time, winning tag team gold in Booker T's PWA before they jumped to WWE. They became the Uso Brothers, Jimmy and Jules, in WWE's developmental program FCW, where they were 1x FCW Florida Tag Team Champions. They debuted in WWE in 2010 as heels, feuding with the Hart Dynasty. They turned face via their feud with the Corre on WWE NXT in 2011 and remained faces for around five years, during which they won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice. In 2016, shortly into the renewed brand extension, they turned heel by assaulting the most popular team on the WWE SmackDown brand, American Alpha. Since then, they've racked up a total of six tag-team championship reigns, one of which being the longest tag team title reign in WWE history.In 2023, Jimmy betrayed Jey at SummerSlam during his match against Roman Reigns, leading the two to split off from each other, with Jey transferring to RAW while Jimmy remained on SmackDown, marking the end of their tag team run for the time being. On his own, Jey is a one-time Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion (with Cody Rhodes). | |

Unrelated Brothers: Taken in several different directions in different situations. Averted with regards to each other, obviously. They've been acknowledged as brothers right from the off, and stayed that way ever since. Also averted with their father, Rikishi. They vaguely alluded to it by drawing attention to their family relationship to The Wild Samoans, at which point anyone who looked closely at their faces probably put two and two together, and within weeks they were being directly acknowledged as his sons. Zig-zagged regarding their initial relationship with Tamina, who was called their cousin on-screen despite the fact that that the Anoa'i and Snuka families aren't even from the same country. (Anoa'i are from American Samoa, while Snuka's origins are in Fiji.) There is a connection, though, as Tamina's mother (Snuka's second wife) is a member of the Anoa'i family via a sworn brother tie-in similar to the Rock, meaning they do regard each other as cousins in reality. Inverted as far as their relationship with The Shield's Roman Reigns goes. By blood, Reigns is The Usos' first cousin once removed, but until the night Reigns won the Royal Rumble this was never brought up. Justified in kayfabe by Reigns himself, stating he wanted to keep it close to his chest so as to make his own mark instead of waving his connections around. Since then, though, it's simply been averted. They even very briefly formed a nominal stable with Reigns when he was feuding with AJ Styles (who had the aid of The Club), before revisiting this as a full-on Power Stable supporting Reigns' Tribal Chief run as the company's Villain Protagonist. Also inverted with Jimmy's wife Naomi of the Funkadactyls, whose marriage was also never referenced for a long time despite the fact that she (and by extension, Jimmy) was a heavy feature on Total Divas along with Brie Bella, whose Real Life engagement and subsequent marriage to Daniel Bryan had been featured in storylines at times. WWE TV finally recognized the marriage in April 2014, after the Total Divas episode that focused on their wedding— of course, that wedding took place back in January. Naturally, not long after the marriage was acknowledged on screen, Naomi started to manage her husband and brother-in-law and even forged an alliance with cousin-in-law Tamina after turning heel in 2015. That being said, it does not mean he ever intends to show mercy during Bloodline beatdowns. He will be just as vicious as the rest of his family. When Sami finally turns on Roman after being emotionally pushed too far, it’s Jimmy of all people that initiates the subsequent beatdown on Sami, even ripping apart his “Honorary Uce� shirt and leaving with a piece of it like it were a scalping. | |
