Bio-Hunter is a mid-90s anime OVA set in a world where humans are plagued by a strange virus that turns those who are infected by it into vicious inhuman monsters. That's where our two main protagonists, scientists Komada and Koshigaya, come in. The duo are a pair of expert Bio-Hunters, individuals who specialize in hunting and neutralizing the threat of the demon virus and it's victims. Of course, things become a bit more intense when one of them ends up getting bitten by a demon virus infectee during a routine job and then runs across a strange young woman being pursued by thugs, with the story only getting crazier from there...This work was originally based on a Japanese manga by Fujihiko Hosono from the late eighties and runs for about an hour total, about the same amount as a short theatrical film. Has no relation to City Hunter. | |
