Alex and Daisy move past their baggage and get married, and Brian finds a new love in Fun City. And while Brian does die relatively young in his 50's, it at least wasn't from a violent skirmish or wish gone awry, and the nature of his own wish leaves Daisy immortal when Alex dies twenty years later.
