Gayngst: It is revealed that Apollo suffered quite a lot of this during his early adolescence (as described in the new, retconned version of his origin story). His father actually threw him outnote (not out on the streets, but he sent him to live with his aunt and didn't speak to him again) when he came out to his parents at the tender age of 12. And when Apollo tried to re-connect with his family after finally managing to escape from the aliens who'd abducted him a year after that and turned him into a copy of Superman over the course of his teenage years, his father still rejected him - now having two reasons to consider his son "not human". Thankfully, all this suffering only made Apollo stronger in adulthood.

Uke: Played With, as while Midnighter is a Manly Gay and doesn't have any feminine traits, Midnighter's depicted as being the "bottom" in a romantic moment with Apollo and it's implied it's his preferred role. Midnighter also doesn't seem to mind that Apollo transports him in a Bridal Carry, though admittedly, he was badly hurt at the time. Still, considering his manly image and grouchy personality, it stands out how easily and unselfconsciously he cooperates with the pose.

comment
Healing Factor: Midnighter channels the power of an angel for long enough that it should have burned out his body and killed him, as he was warned by the sorceror who bound that angel to him. Not only does he survive (albeit unable to stand and needing Apollo to carry him to safety), but he seems perfectly fine just a few days later.

Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Neron falls into this. Long story short, Apollo's in Hell, and Neron's trying to break him and have him admit he's named after a god out of a desire for power. Needless to say, he's wrong; Apollo chose his name because he wanted to be there for Midnighter the same way the Apollo of myth was there for his lover Hyacinthus.
