Fully Absorbed Finale: The miniseries serves to tie up all the loose ends of the Dakotaverse and to also explain how the Dakotaverse characters ended up coexisting with the characters of the standard DC Universe.

Back for the Finale: The miniseries brings back some Dakotaverse characters who hadn't been seen in a while, most notably Rift from the Worlds Collide crossover event (who was forgotten after that event reached its conclusion) and Static's enemy Hotstreak, who has now changed his codename to Firewheel and was last seen getting shot by Rick Stone during the "What Are Little Boys Made Of?" arc.
