Quiver is a 2001 Green Arrow storyline written by Kevin Smith with art by Phil Hester. It spans from Green Arrow (vol. 3) #1-10.In 2000, writer Kevin Smith (yeah, that one) brought Oliver Queen back to life in a new Green Arrow ongoing series, which also returned the action to Star City. By the end of the first storyline, Oliver had become a millionaire again. The trick arrows were back too and Ollie began to rekindle his relationship with Black Canary (who in the meantime had recovered her own powers) and began to build a relationship with his son, Connor. He also picked up a new sidekick - teen prostitute Mia Dearden - who eventually took over the name of Speedy.

Darker and Edgier: Unlike the Stanley and His Monster miniseries from the '90s, it's for real this time. Stanley is abducted and tortured by his satanist, namesake grandfather, who wants Spot to be his servant, who ends up being so angry that he eats Stanley's grandfather. Thank god it all ends on a (relatively) happy note: Spot only eats Stanley's grandfather because he really, really deserved it, and the Monster later erases Stanley's memories of all this horror to restore his mental health.

One-Steve Limit, subclass "If There's Two Steves, It's For A Reason": The Stanley-and-His-Monster part of the plot begins when Green Arrow meets an elderly man named Stanley Dover, who turns out to be young Stanley's eponymous grandfather. And also the satanist who is trying to summon the Monster; it's suggested that an earlier attempt by the elder Stanley to summon the Monster to himself resulted in the Monster being summoned to the wrong Stanley, leading to their first meeting and all that followed.
