Spider-Women is a 2016 Bat Family Crossover published by Marvel Comics, starring its three titular Spider-Women: Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, and Silk, set not much longer after 2014's massive Spider-Verse crossover where they all initially met.Told across their respective titles as well as bookending alpha/omega issues, Spider-Women is written by Robbie Thompson, Jason Latour, and Dennis Hopeless, featuring art by Vanesa Del Rey, Tana Ford, Joëlle Jones, Bengal, and Nico Leon.Jessica Drew, Cindy Moon, and Gwen Stacy are enjoying a girls' day out in the latter's native Earth-65 when their plans hit a snag: Gwen's interdimensional travel device is stolen during a staged supervillain attack, effectively trapping Jessica and Cindy there with her.Together, they must find a way back to Earth-616, while also uncovering a conspiracy involving villainous organization S.I.L.K. — and the very familiar person in charge of it.In December 2018, it was announced that an animated film based on this storyline would be produced as a spinoff of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which features Gwen as a supporting character.

My God, You Are Serious!: The trio's reaction to Spider-Gwen's "greatest nemesis", the Bodega Bandit, holding up a store while they're all standing right in front of the counter. Gwen face-palms, embarrassed by his appearance and insisting that he isn't part of her rogues gallery. Silk is struggling to hold back laughter, while Jessica is offended by his gall, quickly shocking him with her powers before complaining about how dumb Earth-65 is.

Brought Down to Normal: Gwen's spider powers are taken away from her by 65-Cindy Moon, who turns out to be the one who arranged for Gwen to receive her spider powers in the first place. Gwen is completely incapable of fighting without her superpowers. She later gains the device that Jesse used to maintain his abilities to regain the use of her powers for a brief moment, knocking out 65-Cindy at the last second. She continues to use the device in her solo series for several issues, until eventually merging with the Venom symbiote, restoring them full-time once more.

The Friend Nobody Likes: Silk is considered this by Spider-Gwen. When Cindy finally presses Gwen for why she hates her so much, Gwen replies that she doesn't hate her, but that she's scared of becoming like her. This offends Cindy even more, especially as this comes minutes after Gwen accused her of planning a Face–Heel Turn, but Gwen doesn't get time to elaborate.

Clear My Name: Zig-zagged. When Earth-65's Cindy Moon commits robberies as Silk, the real Silk ends up getting hauled off by S.H.I.E.L.D. while desperately trying to explain the situation. However, after being rescued by Black Cat, she pretends that she actually did commit all those crimes in order it to strength her mole operation with Black Cat and gain the villain's trust. Come the next issue of Silk's solo, Jessica Drew had done the work to tell those who needed to know the true story, clearing Silk of all charges but allowing her to maintain her new guise as a master thief.
