The Loud House is a licensed comic book published by Papercutz that's a Comic-Book Adaptation of the animated series of the same name and a part of their parent franchise. Its first full-term release was in 2017 (with a pair of preceding one-time publications in 2015 and 2016), and it has been ongoing since then. The comic book is published in issues referred to has "graphic novels", which, despite the denomination, consist of compilations of mostly unrelated stories. During the airing of the spin-off The Casagrandes, the comic had produced several issues centered on it rather than the main series, one of which is yet to be released.

All There in the Script

All There in the Script: The names of many characters were first introduced in the character descriptions at the beginning of each comic issue before being used in the show. Examples include Luna and Sam's other two bandmates (Sully and Mazzy) or all the Morticians Club members outside of Lucy and Haiku (Boris, Morpheus, Dante, Persephone and Bertrand). The descriptions are also the first sources revealing the full names of some characters (Bud Grouse, Sam Sharp, Benny Stein).

Evolving Credits
The Loud House (Comic Book) / int_3297cfbb
comment
Evolving Credits: The first issue's "Meet the Loud Family" intro is 2-pages long and features only the Loud siblings. From the second book onwards, it becomes "Meet the Loud Family and Friends!" and begins to include not only the parents, but also all the secondary characters that appear at least once during the issuenote Albeit it was not immediately precise: "Live Life Loud!" lists the Casagrandes, Clyde, Clyde's dads and Sam, but lacks other side characters appearing in the book like Flip, Mr. Grouse and Haiku; "Family Tree" also includes Sam in the intro even though she doesn't appear at all in the book. "Ultimate Hangout" updates the intro once more to give the Loud sisters and parents new stock art, and another update happens in "Loud and Clear" to update all the character bios with post-season 5 infonote Lincoln in middle school, Lori in college, Lily is fully clothed, Leni, Luna and Luan mentioning their respective relations with Gavin, Sam and Benny, and so on.

Early-Installment Weirdness: A few stories in early books use the early character designs from "Left in the Dark", and for example both "The Spot" and "Sam's Pick" use the original Lucy design with her bangs leaving a small patch of skin over her nose uncovered. The first book was written at the time when the Loud parents were still The Faceless: as a result, they don't appear for most of the book, with the only exceptions being Lynn Sr. appearing in "Here Comes the Airplane", with his face being kept out of frame as it happened during the show's first season. The first three issues end with previews not of the next book in the series, but rather of adaptations of other Nicktoons that were printed on Nickelodeon Pandemoniumnote A short-lived series of books by Papercutz that presented in digest format select stories from all their Nickelodeon comic books at the time - The Loud House, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners and Harvey Beaks. The first two issues feature previews of Pig Goat Banana Cricket comics, while the third has a Harvey Beaks one.

RPG Episode: "Ultimate Hangout" features a subplot running through the entire book of Lynn Sr. playing a tabletop RPG named Orcs, Horks, Wizards, and Pork with his friends. The bulk of Lucy Rolls the Dice is about the Louds getting engaged with the same game after Lucy joins one of dad's sessions, with a few side stories featuring the Casagrandes playing their own sessions of it.

Covers Always Lie: The cover of The Many Faces of Lincoln Loud features Lincoln's rabbit counterpart Warren from the series' episode "White Hare" and his 1920s-themed version from "Private Eyes" on Live Life Loud!. Neither of the two appear in any of the stories featured in the book. The cover of The Missing Linc implies that Clyde appears in the titular story, but he actually doesn't. The cover of Sister Resister depicts Lincoln being chased by all of his sisters... including Lori, who doesn't actually appear in any of the issue's stories.

The Bus Came Back: "Zach and the Haunted Chalk" has Papa Wheelie, a side character from "Hand-Me-Downer", appearing around five years after his original appearance in the show. Skippy, who only appeared on "L is for Love" in the animated series, returns here in "Skip to the End" (about six years after the aforementioned episode's airing).

Animated Adaptation: Some of the comic's stories were eventually adapted into animated shorts for the series. These include: "Lincoln Loud's ABCs of Getting the Last Slice" as "Slice of Life". "Deuces Wild!" under the same title. "The 10-Headed Beast" as "10 Headed Beast". "Clyde's Cat-astrophe" as "Clyde and His Dads".

Traced Artwork: A few comics have character poses traced from either stock art or frames from the show. One example is "Little Big Top", where the final panel shows Luna with her guitar on taken from an early scene from "Left in the Dark" and Lynn lifting Leni traced from a scene from "Room with a Feud" (made more obvious by the fact that Leni is barefoot for no discernible reason because the original scene had her wearing only her night gown).

Shout-Out: In "Luna's New Threads", there a couple posters in Luna and Luan's room with symbols resembling the Red Hot Chili Peppers logo and blink-182's smiley. In "Private Eyes", Lucy is seen dressed up as Alfred Hitchcock. In "No Strings", the ventriloquist dummies Luan and Lisa find in the antique shop include The Phantom of the Opera, Annabelle, Tiffany, Pennywise and Freddy Fazbear. In "None Chucked", Luna refers to herself as "The Shredder" when dressed as a ninja. Lola and Lana's ninja outfits also feature masks similar to those worn by the Ninja Turtles.
