Dragon Ball Z: Dynasty is a Dragon Ball Z fanfiction written by Feraligreater328.On his way to King Kai's planet, Goku decides to take a short nap. Unfortunately, he moves while he's asleep, and falls from the Snake Way... all the way down to hell. Upon waking up there, he meets a Saiyan woman named Gine who claims to be his mother, as well as his father, Bardock, and his brother Raditz, who had just been sent there. After spending a few days bonding with the parents he never met and reconnecting with the brother he helped to kill, they help Goku to get out of Hell so he can continue his journey to King Kai's planet and get the training he needs in order to defeat Vegeta and Nappa.Such an event, naturally, leaves a lasting impact on the Saiyan hero: once the time to be resurrected arrives, Goku asks for his parents and older brother to be resurrected as well. Naturally, the presence of Goku's biological family changes how many events unfold from canon.Unfortunately, all stories had been deleted. Luckily, an archived version of most of the story is available here. A writer named Scott404 cross-posted the fic on Archive of Our Own.On February 1, 2024, the author decided to republish the story on FF again, in batches of 25 chapters per week, with grammar and spelling mistakes fixed, and some new content. Little Bit Beastly: As with any Dragon Ball story, the Saiyans have furry, monkey-like tails, which they wear loosely around their waists. In fact, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Future Trunks grow their tails back, and every Hybrid Saiyan in this story is born with one. Additionally, they can not only use the Great Ape form, but the Golden Great Ape form from Dragon Ball GT. Raditz can also use a variation of this transformation called Oozaru Force, which allows him to channel the power of a Great Ape into his humanoid form, similarly to Broly Chika (Chi-Chi's mother) was a cow demon who was almost identical to a human aside from her prominent horns. Chi-Chi was also born with horns, however, up until Goku convinces her to stop, she's been filing them down to nothing since she was a child due to her childhood trauma and fear of her heritage being discovered. Subverted when it's later revealed she was originally meant to go to Heaven, but chose to go to Hell so she could stay with Bardock. Future 17 and 18 are already irredeemable monsters in canon, but they're even worse here. In addition to treating Earth as their own personal playground, they now possess a sadism streak that'd make Frieza wince and a god-complex that makes Zamasu almost look humble in comparison. Future 18, while she goes through some Adaptational Heroism, is implied to be a sexual sadist, lustfully staring at the grown-up Future Trunks' muscles and planning to "use him for a bit" after beating him into submission. She also tries to kill a little girl and uses Future Trunks' trauma over losing his tail against him, trying to strangle him to death with his own severed tail. Future 17, in particular, is far worse, trying to control his sister by killing Krillin when the latter tries to convince them to pull a Heel–Face Turn, bragging about how he and Future 18 tortured Raditz to death (breaking every bone in his body, impaling him on a radio tower and setting him on fire) and forcefully shoved Future 18 into Future Trunks when the latter and Vegeta were stomping them, so that he could run away. His One-Winged Angel form is powerful enough to fight three Super Saiyans and a Great Ape evenly. His abilities have also been overhauled so that he can use his ki to manipulate gravity, lightning, air, fire and ice. He is also a proficient swordsman. Cell as well. In canon, his first form was a weakling that spent most of his time running away, and didn't actually start fighting until he absorbed hundreds of thousands of humans' worth of power. Here, he starts kicking ass from the moment he shows up. Gohan this time around actually chooses to fight Cell on his own after seeing his father being beaten close to death. While still a weakling compared to the Z-Fighters, Mr. Satan is able to fight a horde of Galaxy Soldiers by himself, only losing to a war of attrition. His Bad Future counterpart is even more awesome, being able to one-shot Imperfect Cell. In the movie, Zangya only used generic ki attacks and the Psycho Threads. Here, she has truly terrifying hydrokinesis as well as Prehensile Hair. In canon, the Androids effortlessly killed Piccolo in Future Trunks' timeline. Here, Piccolo still falls to them, but only after singlehandedly destroying Androids 13, 14, 15, and 19. Android 18 even suggests that he would've put up a better fight had he not exhausted himself against the other Androids. Being among the earliest movie villains of Z, Lord Slug wasn't that strong compared to later threats, and was defeated by Goku before he could even become Super Saiyan. While he's still a blowhard and an Attention Whore, he's a bit less of a Glory Hound than in canon, and refuses to trash talk Goku after learning that he's a former Martial Arts World Champion, and even chided Jimmy Firecracker and Ms. Piiza for doing so. He is also extremely reluctant to accept the praise and adoration after accepting the credit for defeating Cell and expresses shame over it. In fact, if it wasn't for his wife Miguel's passing, he'd have revealed the truth. Throughout the battle between Cell and the Z-Fighters, he also gradually comes to accept and admit to himself that Ki techniques are not "parlor tricks" or mere gimmicks, but actual abilities that can be attained by skilled martial artists, which his former master tried to teach him. In Future Trunks' timeline, it is revealed that an older Mister Satan has extensively re-trained himself in martial arts and learns to harness the power of Ki after the tragic deaths of his wife and daughter, and was powerful enough to kill Future Imperfect Cell with a single attack. Cell learned this the hard way after killing his grandfather. Bringing up Slug's Namekian heritage in front of him will set him off real quick. Mister Satan is an extremely hot button for Chichi after he took credit for Cell's defeat. It literally took specialized sedatives - which were designed to keep Android 18 unconscious - just to calm her out of a homicidal rage. | |

In the Bad Future, Krillin talks to Future 18 and tries to convince her to pull off a Heel–Face Turn. 18 is genuinely moved, but Future 17 kills Krillin before he can finish his speech, and the Future Androids remain Ax-Crazy maniacs from there. In the Bad Future, after a long string of painful defeats at the hand of the androids, the one-armed Future Gohan unveils his trump card: Super Saiyan Great Ape. It gave him the power boost he needed to finally beat the androids. Unfortunately, they were able to cut off his tail before he could finish them off. That fight would be Future Gohan's last. Even in his imperfect form, Cell has proven to be an unstoppable monster. However, Android 16 proves to be more than a match to him, finishing with a devastating Hell's Flash. Cell survives, but he's so badly wounded, he's at death's doorstep... until his skin crystalizes into a chrysalis-like state, coming out with a new, undamaged body, with a huge power increase thanks to the Zenkai boost. Unlike in canon, not only did Vegeta not grab the Idiot Ball, but even forced Cell to throw Android 18 up, causing Cell to revert back to his Imperfect form. It seems that Cell won't reach his perfect form this time around, huh? Too bad that, after Future Trunks and Vegeta brought the Androids from the former's timeline to the present in order to repair present Android 18's Infinite Energy Engine, Cell kidnaps Baby Trunks, forcing Vegeta to hand him the Androids, allowing him to reach his perfect form.. So, the Cell Juniors are beating the crap of the Z-Fighters, Gohan is too scared and horrified to fight, so Bardock steps in to fight Cell himself... and succesfully traps him using the Evil Containment Wave. Too bad that a couple of the Cell Jrs. were still there and released their father. | |

He also mentions that "some brat King Vegeta had banished" might be an Alpha Type too. In his fight against Cell, Gohan turns out to be an Alpha-Type as well, as Bardock theorized before. If you thought Gohan gave Cell quite the beatdown in the original anime, just wait until you see everything he does in Chapters 103 and 104.
