Point of Divergence: The primary point that alters the plot is Izuku being kidnapped by villains, specifically the League of Villains, to be experimented on. Izuku was abducted off the rooftop All Might left him on, leaving Bakugou with nobody to save him from the Sludge Villain. While he survived, he caught pneumonia from the attack and was bedridden for six months. This destroyed Bakugou's reputation at Aldera when his classmates saw that he wasn't as invincible as he boasted. Naturally, his existing complexes made that much worse. Because of the monitoring devices Nedzu has his staff wear, he’s instantly alerted when the USJ incident happens after he loses their signals. This allows him to respond to the incident much faster and prevent injuries. Mineta's expulsion leads to several changes down the line: The second round of the Sports Festival still needed 42 students, which means Chikuchi Togeike makes it to the second round and later the third round as part of Shinsou's team. This results in UA faculty giving her strong consideration for transfer into the Hero Course. The first joint training class takes place before summer, and Togeike joins as her unofficial exam to join the Hero Course. Shinsou takes Mineta's place in Class 1-A. Because of their more positive relationship, Shinsou does not brainwash Aoyama or Ojiro into joining him, and Ojiro does not feel the need to drop out for feeling he didn't earn his third-round placement. Bakugou attempting to assault Shinsou after their match, on live television, results in the following: Bakugou is immediately expelled from the Hero Course, transferred to the General Course, and Nedzu places him on probation. The resulting open spot is taken by Hatsume to be a dual Hero-Support student. Nedzu opens investigations into Aldera Middle School for abuse and discrimination. Because the League of Villains have, by all indications, lost All For One, and combined with Izuku telling the class that he was Quirkless before the League forced several Quirks on him, Aoyama eventually works up the courage to come clean on his own Quirkless past and admit his connection to All for One to Aizawa. On a related note, with All For One out of commission, the League is much less effective as they are deprived of his leadership. It’s just Shigaraki and the Doctor making it up as they go along. Izuku ends up interning with Miruko, due to the ongoing rumors about their connection and him winning the Sports Festival, instead of Gran Torino, due to not having the same relationship with All Might. For the Stain Arc, both Endeavor and Miruko join in to fight alongside the 1-A boys (and the Offensive Hero) against Stain with the Flame Hero losing badly while Miruko shows up to stop the Hero Killer and finish what her pupil started. Also, without All for One the League have no Nomu to attack Hosu, preventing Stain from being linked to the League of Villains, and costing them in recruits. Also for the Stain Arc, Stain is knocked unconscious in a back-alley fight, and too beaten up to do anything more. So he does not get a dramatic final speech which was broadcasted for people to see and latch onto his ideology.
