Rise of the Minisukas (full name: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Rise of the Minisukas) is a Neon Genesis Evangelion fanfiction written by Blackunknown, blending comedy, romance and drama.Shinji Ikari is being thoroughly beaten by Sachiel when two tiny redheads mysteriously and suddenly appear in his entry plug and encourage him to keep fighting. Since Shinji doesn't feel up to the task, one of them summons an army of billions of tiny, angry redheads armed with tiny lances who swiftly overwhelm and kill Sachiel with extreme prejudice. Shinji passes out in the aftermath of the battle, and when he comes around he finds out his two tiny helpers -who call themselves "Leader" and "Shiki"- have appointed themselves as his bodyguards.In the meantime, an army of countless tiny redheads -called Minisukas by Misato- have kind of subtly invaded Tokyo-3. All of them look right like the Second Child, wield weaker copies of the Lance of Longinus and communicate only by saying "Baka" and "Anta Baka". Meanwhile, Gendo Ikari tries to figure out who they are, where they come from and whether they are a threat to his plans.The next battles prove the Minisukas are surprisingly effective allies, and Gendo notes they seem to be oddly protective from the Third Child, as well as having some measure of foreknowledge. He is not overly concerned about it, though, until the Sixth Angel being completely different than anybody expected throws him, Seele and even the Minisukas for a loop. As Leader and Shiki grow concerned about their ability to protect Shinji from harm, Seele starts freaking out about their plans hitting several unexpected bumps on the road.At the same time, a mysterious ghastly entity called Enigma is manipulating events behind the scenes with the stated purpose of "ending the cycle".
