Servant Shenanigans is a series of Fate/Grand Order fanfics with references to other Fate Series works — mostly Fate/stay night and Fate/Apocrypha. Characterization Marches On: By the time we meet Cu Alter, he is far from the killing machine he was in the game, because the other Cu's reached out to him. While he is still cold and stoic, he is also quietly compassionate and deeply cares for his alts, who he has a sibling-like relationship with. He even gets frequently involved in their antics, and keeps everyone in-line like a responsible older brother. His characterization continues mostly off-screen, but is plain to see when he's around. There is a very significant gap between Mordred's first appearance in Sometimes I Don't Know What I'm Thinking When it Comes to You and his next in Sometimes the Fire Burns too Hot Inside. In the meantime, he has gone through Fate/Apocrypha AND the London Singularity, which had a great effect in curbing his bitterness and allowing him to open up to people. Of course, it did not solve ALL his problems — far from it — but it was a good first step. Diarmuid mentions that teaching Artoria how to show her emotions is still a work in progress. CasCu lampshades this repeatedly about himself. He lost all his aversion to lying, to the point he doesn't even remember why he hated it, he thinks that the people who knew him in life would never imagine that he'd get into gossip, and he decided to put up a front precisely so that Ritsuka wouldn't notice how much people change over time. Kage, who is younger than Emiya, is much, much more petty and hot-headed. Caster Gilgamesh is far more considerate and hard working than his Archer counterpart. Everyone is puzzled by this. | |

The Gossip Crew, that controls Chaldean rumour mill, has Marie Antoinette, CasCu and Achilles, and later Lily joins them. CasCu also has the kid Servants like Alice or Jack on his payroll to bring in more gossip —or make the gossip — and Marie has a fully fledged spy network. CasCu is also in good terms with Vlad, Hector, and Moriarty, who are the resident "proud fathers". The Workout Crew is made up of Leonidas, Beowulf, and Saint Martha, who insists she doesn't do fight clubs. Mordred is in pretty good terms with them — especially with Martha. Occasionally they are joined by Chiron. Fuuma is hanging out with the pirates of all people because he likes taking trophies (weapons) from the battlefields and places he visits. He also shares a friendship with Mordred and Da Vinci, as they spend their nights in the Simulation Room relieving stress and helping out each other. The Prank crew consists on Diarmuid, Lily, Nobu, Merlin, and Angra Mainiiu. Kage joins them. Kage ends befriending the Gudaguda squad in two days flat. | |
